Where to start? This tiny little hotel has so much potential! It's beautiful and modern and classy. The rooms are tiny but well organized. There are lots of staff on hand. The location is convenient (but not THAT convenient, especially if you're carrying luggage, there's a steep hill between the hotel and the tram). The breakfast is amazing!!! And while it isn't served right on the rooftop, like many nearby hotels and hostels, you can easily walk the one flight of stairs up to the rooftop terrace and enjoy it there.
But then there's the downside: the noise. The hotel is right between two busy streets, with constant traffic. And when there aren't any cars zooming by, there are kids playing, and people yaking away. It gets LOUD. But I guess that's Istanbul, and it's hard to escape.
There's also the cost. We got a last minute deal through an online booking website, so the cost was very reasonable, but the standard room rates are quite pricy. Perhaps a better deal if the upper rooms are quieter (we stayed on the main floor), but nonetheless search out a deal if you're interested to get the best cost vs enjoyment ratio. read more
