Much over rated I'm afraid!! Food was ...meh. Service was atrocious, just terrible. We arrived…read moreearly thinking a table would be no problem. We did not have a booking so understood, no table available, so we were seated at the sushi counter.. terribly uncomfortable. Once seated we were completely ignored by the waitress as the evening rush started. Now normally I'm not one to complain about such things but our food was okay, nothing wow, just okay- had chicken karaage, miso, edamame, and ramen. Ordered sushi as well. We enjoyed most of it but basic things such as soy and pickled ginger was not provided. We had to ask for it several times. No dipping bowels provided either, again we had to ask for these .. several times. Given that we had spent a considerable amount of money here one would expect the basics to be done right. Not asking too much I think. Basically, this place has gained a popular reputation and the waitstaff treated us as if they were doing us a favour or something. Snooty and presumptuous at the very least. I will NOT be coming back here anytime soon! Try it at your own risk.. if you want to be treated badly, or looked down upon. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere folks. Don't fall for the hype of this place. Just use and contemptuous...

Location is fantastic. Easy to get to. Parking everywhere but might have to search for a bit…read morebecause this place is so popular for tourist destination. The restarting itself is hip and service is fast. Now to the sushi part... Oh My GOD! The fish is high quality. You can TASTE the difference comparing to many other business around the area. It has a train that delivers the sushi and you could also order from the chefs. There is also a menu that you can order from. I got their salmon sashimi and it just salivated in my mouth. I also ordered a salmon and tuna hand roll and it was spot on. If you are looking for a quick sit down with GREAT quality sushi. This is the place to go.

Being back in civilisation after a weekend of gumbooting my way around Splendour In The Mud had nearly broken me. Nearly. Enter Kinoko. Five of us were able to sit down, pick up some immediate necessities from the train (wakame salad - check. Salmon sashimi - check.) as well as order a few specialities from the made-to-order menu like agedashi eggplant, udon and gourmet rolls. Definitely a spot I'd visit again if in the area - hopefully next time in a much less savage mood. Any restaurant that can gracefully feed five feral festival-goers and somehow manage to please each and every one of us is definitely worth repeating.

One of the best brunch or brekky place in sawtell or coffs for that matter…read more Well worth the wait in the morning for seats. If you come after 11am do the lunch menu I think their poke bowls are all amazing. Favorite is the salmon poke bowl. Vegan one is very healthy. Burrito one is awesome with good mix of flavors. Good coffee and smoothies. Ambience is nice relaxed cafe in the heart of a small beach town. I do usually like the back seating it is a bit quieter. Friendly staff. Expect around 20$ for mains and 5$ coffees. Standard australia pricing.

Cafe treeo Rock…read moresolid 4.0. There's much to admire here. Food, service and look are all very impressive and the cafe deserves its current buoyant rating. Cafe Treeo is a bright and buzzy cafe on the main street in Sawtell. Lovely greys and blues are highlighted in the exterior and interior look of the cafe. It's stylish in a comfortingly low key way that works well. The cafe itself sits nicely under beautiful street trees and it is terrific at a table outside on a warm day. I had the big brekkie which was excellent. You can't do it much better than how they do it here. It's a decent size. It's nicely presented. The poached eggs were absolutely spot on. The sourdough was great. There was a beautiful wagyu sausage. Spectacular mushrooms too. A good hash brown. A huge serve of smoky bacon as well. Two very lengthy and mighty tasty slices. It's a substantial and really enjoyable meal. My companions had the prawn sandwich which they both declared to be a winner. They loved it. To top it off, our coffees by three were excellent. Absolutely top notch coffee. Rich and delectable with fantastic length of flavour. The service from our predominant server Alex today was excellent throughout. We all agreed she really helped make this such a fun experience. This is a very well run cafe. Most impressive and recommended.
