So for myself, and for health benefits, this past spring and summer I decided to start taking tennis lessons. This was to add a change to my cardio regime. Plus, I haven't played tennis in over ten years. Here's a few information: * General Facilities & Parking Lot * First of all, the campus is fairly huge. And they appear to offer everything from swimming, to tennis obviously, league sports like softball for adults, and soccer/football/lacrosse for kids. They even provide maps for certain walking trails. The parking lot accommodates mainly for the aquatics center and tennis courts. But I've yet to run into an issue with parking close to the tennis facility and softball fields. Plenty of spaces, but I'd say more crowded closer to the aquatic side. Lots of kids taking swim classes. * Babette Horenstein Tennis Center * Did I mention this facility is huge? Yeah, there's a good amount of courts. I believe about twelve in total, maybe more. The cool part is, six are indooor and six are outdoor. The indoor courts are well ventilated for the most part, but can get real hot during the summertime. As for the outdoor courts, they seasonally set up a green tent during the fall and winter, but remove it around springtime and summer. You can reserve a court, but they've got various rates. Primarily depending on your purpose (yes pickleball players are allowed), your place of residency, and a time of day. I will admit, it can be hard to reserve a court due to its popularity. * Tennis Instructors * Thus far I've had the two Brian's, a Bill, and a few others. So far so good as all of them have been excellent teachers of the game. Very knowledgeable instructors. From area positioning, to racquet grip holding, to hitting routine and feeling, it's those little tweaks and adjustments here and there that really help. They make the classes worth it! Well, that just about sums it up! Just note that local residents receive more of the benefits versus folks like myself that live "out of district." Like priority sign-ups if you're looking for a class. Regardless, I still find myself taking advantage of what they have to offer.

Some of the lifeguards and management didn't like me for asking them to be more safety minded when we were performing gymnastic diving. Instead, retaliation, defamation, character assassination, everything to make all the people that like me to turn against me. THPRD is not supposed to be in the business of Destroying People. It does so in a very dangerous and low life way. it uses 'hit men', staff members from somewhere else, or friends, or acquaintance to cause trouble and sabotage people's reputation in real time. THPRD needs to close down it's management team and get all new mission, not to break from the honor code like it is now breaking, and to not lie about being all inclusive when it's a party club and if you don't fit in and stay quiet, you're out and personally attacked by staff and management. Dangerous place. Do NOT go to THPRD. Did so for ten years, it is slowly crumbling to death. Get out while you can. It's too late once they get you.

There's no repetition in the class. The children are unable to practice the skill since it is only done once and then they are shown a new skill. 3. They do not make an effective use of the pool. There's only two classes in the shallow end of the pool yet they are both crammed in one corner so the preschool class has a very limited space since the school age class is swimming across. The preschool instructor is constantly getting bumped by the other class. The solution to this would be scooting the preschool classes over near the single lap lane since that space is not being utilized at all. 4. Lack of adult management, this place is runned by kids. If you're serious about getting your child to learn to swim. Look elsewhere!

(The deep water class uses a floatation belt for buoyancy.) I enjoy a daily workout and there are classes at various times of the day throughout the THPRD system. Since 24HF has senior fitness classes on the days that my community center doesn't, I decided to go. I'm older and use the One Pass that comes with Medicare Insurance. When I approached the classroom where the senior fitness classes are taught, I was appalled at how crowded it was. There were at least 50 people in the room, possibly more. There wasn't enough room to move around without smacking the person next to you. I told The downstairs person (who was working alone and running all over the gym doing other duties). He told me that they are allowed 60 people in that class. I asked if they check to make sure every person is reserved? And they don't. Yes, I get my membership for free. But before Covid I paid around $700/a year for my membership and that would really piss me off to try to go to a class that was not being managed as far as reservations and overcrowding go. She left when my personal training account was frozen due to financial hardship, and management never reached out about her departure... but they were more than happy to start charging me again for services they never intended to schedule, since it was so hard to get ahold of the trainers. They pressured me into freezes over cancellation to try and get every last dime. Costs over $700 to cancel if you sign onto a contract, which will protect them and not you. It's a misleading and shady business, and you're better off doing personal training literally anywhere else.

One of the worst interview experiences ever…read more I applied for a front desk position and had a friend who already worked their refer me for an interview. I spoke on the phone with "Ali" who seemed friendly and set up an interview. When I came in the next day I was greeted with what seemed to be confusion. I met with an older lady at the front and explained my situation. Without introducing herself she told me to have a seat and that she'd help me in a moment. I ended up waiting 10 minutes and watched as she paced around the weight room and another part of the gym before she finally came back and was ready. I smiled, shook her handed and greeted her and we began the interview. She had a clipboard and pen with a sheet of paper that seemed to have questions and a space to answer and never touched the paper. She only asked me one question which was my job experience and kept interrupting my answers almost trying to make me feel like I said something wrong and questioned my answers even though my answers were thorough and logical. The whole interview felt like I was the one keeping the conversation going. This person was very condescending and wouldn't even respond to my answers when I finished. We only interviewed for 5 minutes before she seemingly cut off our conversation and explained how it was a "level one" interview just to meet me and that there were more step after this which is odd because she never mentioned that in our call and actually said it would be a 25-30 min interview. She also asked if I had any questions to which I asked, "Are there any struggles or things that may be difficult for a new person starting out" and she just said "What do you mean struggle?" In a defensive tone and I explained like maybe something in the training or maybe learning the phones something like that to which she replied, "No, it's pretty straight forward" I then learned that this person had been gossiping and talking about how poor my interview went and how I couldn't "talk" and how my appearance was "awful", even claiming I wore open toed shoes, even though I appeared in nice business casual attire. I've done many interviews and had ones that haven't gone my way but this kind of behavior from a business has never happened once. I'm not concerned about not getting the job I literally just want to spread awareness for this behavior and warn anyone who may be thinking of applying to this location. Overall, this interaction was very unprofessional from the moment I walked in. I didn't find out until the end when we were wrapping up that I was talking to Ali and I had to ask her to confirm. She never introduced herself or welcomed me into the club just opened with "have you been in my club before". I would stay far away from coming here or even thinking of employment here as I've never left an interview feeling so belittled and disrespected. It was a hostile environment from the moment I walked. You would think someone working in customer service in a "manager" role would have some kind of social skills and decency.

My experience with SafeSplash has been very disappointing, and I haven't even started classes yet…read more I initially enrolled online but had several questions because the schedule was confusing, the swim levels weren't clearly explained, and the website didn't provide enough information. When I called, I was already three-quarters of the way through the enrollment process. The representative asked me to cancel my online enrollment so he could enroll me over the phone, saying I'd get a better price. It ended up being exactly the same price. I also asked multiple times about private lessons because my schedule is very limited. Instead of answering my question, the representative kept talking about creating a group class. I had to explain several times that I wasn't looking for a group class--I wanted private lessons on a schedule that worked for me. Eventually, we found one group class that fit my schedule, and it was literally the only time I could attend. I enrolled and paid the annual registration fee based on that schedule. Then, on the day the class was supposed to start, SafeSplash changed the class time, making it impossible for me to attend. Since then, I've called twice and have been promised a callback within 48 hours, but no one has followed up. I've also been told that the annual registration fee is non-refundable because my class "already started"--even though the reason I can't attend is because they changed the schedule after I enrolled. I understand that schedules sometimes need to change, but customers shouldn't be penalized or charged a non-refundable fee when the company changes the only class they were able to attend. I hope SafeSplash reconsiders how it handles situations like this and improves both its communication and customer service. I'm happy to change my review if you change my experience. C. Travis
