Me with our pumpkin finds!
Tonya A.

We had the best time at Aloun Farms' pumpkin patch this year! From start to finish, it was such a fun family day. There were so many great vendors for food, drinks, and desserts -- plus rides, games, and even a farmers market to explore! The kids loved all the activities, and we had a blast picking our own pumpkins! I wish we got the chance to pick string beans, and corn but there was just so much to do! Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was festive, and it felt so well organized. This was our first time visiting, but it definitely won't be our last -- we're already planning to come back next year!

Yay for Aloun Farms! We always enjoy coming here because they're now the only farm that allows pets. They're allowed most places other than where there is food in the farm. They are located in ewa and entrance fee is inexpensive ($5/person). Parking is free but it is REALLY dusty and you'll need a car wash after your visit. there is lots of things to do there including the sunflower fields, games, food booths, shopping, picking vegetables, hayrides and more. You can literally spend all day there. it is best when you go early when they open. it got REALLY busy as the day went on.

This place is so fun and I can't believe this is the first time I've come. It's kind of confusing because the dates and times on their website and the actual days they do the festival for Halloween is different. This year they had the festival on Saturday and Sundays for the last three weeks in October. I ended up going on the last day. This place is tucked away and the dirt field. Separate from the parking one side is the pumpkin patch and then the other side is the festival with food, photo ops and games. The place was packed. I haven't seen that many cars since I've been on the mainland. Everybody was out with their families and eating all the fun carnival food. This place is also a dog friendly. I brought my dog and a friend and we started art fun at the pumpkin fields. Please note come early with the 90° weather. We've had all summer through October. A lot of the pumpkins were spoiled. We did get to find some for our photo shoot. And then we took some fun photos in the banana Fields. After our photo shoot, we walked over to the carnival. We decided to get a huge drink. And take some more photos under the rainbow. I will go again next year a little earlier and bring more people.

Just went to their 21st Pumpkin Patch Festival. Wow! So many food vendors to select from. We got food and drinks from a variety from the vendors. I must say, everything was so very flavorful! There was lots of rides, live entertainment, farmers markets. We could've stayed here all day. What a wonderful place to be! We've decided to make this place a tradition for us to go every year, or two times a year, lol. Also, a lot of the vendors did accept debit and credit cards besides cash.

Hot, dusty, food, animals, games, vegetables and fruits. At $5/per person you can have the experience of a fair and outdoor farm experience. I didn't know what to expect but knew that we needed to get there as soon as it opened. Nothing is worse than getting there late and fighting crowds for food and experience. Since we mainly went to pick pumpkins we found out we could go to the field to get our own or buy a ready picked one on the fair grounds. We opted for the experience of wandering the fields for our pumpkin. It was so hot at 9:30am and dusty. It appeared most of the larger pumpkins were extremely large and rotting. There were workers to help with wheelbarrows but I think we could not take much with the heat. Lucky we did spot a slightly medium sized misshapen pumpkin and carried it to pay. And we did plan picking pumpkins at the end because we knew the task would be tiring in the heat. Highlights of the fair itself..sample juice from meadow gold, hayride, fresh vegetables to purchase..highly recommend to buy the corn! The popcorn is also super could. Don't forget to try rosalani ice cream and the shave ice! There is a pay area to pet animals but decided against it. The vendors selling random items are fun to see especially the butterfly experience. Would we do this again? Probably on a cooler day when there is more cloud cover.

It would have been a 4 or 5 star review as my experience at the Aloun Farms Pumpkin Festival was great up until leaving. It took over 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot.I have no issues with alternating you go then I go but when you have someone enforcing it close to the exit tying up everyone else later down the line making it easier for them to exit but worse for the rest it just dropped 1-2 stars. Fix the exiting "structure" and you can gain stars back. Ok end of rant and onto the good stuff. The pumpkin festival is annual (interrupted by COVID) and now back. They charge $5 per person to enter (pay as you drive in) with free parking. You can choose from there just to walk around and observe or pay per food, game, or ride. They have a lot of pumpkins for sale, you can even pick your own. They have kid rides, pony rides, and a petting zoo (watch out for the goose and turtle, the turtle was fast and didn't see he snuck up on me and I was like hey buddy where's the race?). They have a stage with different performances. Lots of food options with drinks for sale at the end. They also sell fresh vegetables. There are plenty of opportunities for good photos to include on John Deeres. There is even a free hay ride for all. Fun time for the family. You just had me at Pumpkin Festival!! I didn't find the great pumpkin but did have a cool experience taking mom here for her very first time. She just had an adventurous spirit this day when she asked me if she could tag along with me today not knowing what I had planned. We started with picking up some drinks at my favorite place then made the drive out to Aloun Farms with the help with Yelp directions which always gets me there without fail. Once you find the signs and the entrance this year was a bit different though it has been a few years since the pandemic after driving down a long dirt path road we reached an area where we pay $5 per person for the entrance fee and was guided to park in a specific area. Though we had a disable pass (mom) we were still guided to the general area assuming it was filled as walking was obvious a challenge in an uneven farm environment is basically mostly dirt I was disappointed to see there were several spots available that we didn't get...no worries we just took our time but got there as it wasn't a very long walk. As we entered it was fun to see Meadow Gold offering sips of their Macadamia Nut Milk and Juice (not sure as I didn't take one) mom was excited and immediately helped herself. Pumpkins all shapes and sized were scattered everywhere as if you're in the pumpkin patch was just a fun sight to see as it's not a regular thing we get to do here. As we made our way there was a bunch of food vendors in the Kau Kau Village all lined up with samples and prices right up front which made it so easy to make your choice which we did get a couple of hot dogs which was massive with all the fixings on a table to make it our own is a nice feature though finding seats was the challenge. We then walked around seeing a bunch of rides, a stage that had fun entertainment, a Growers Pavilion filled with vendors. There's also a Hayride which was free (we passed) we then made our way to the Ewa Sweet Market that was filled with what makes this area famous...Sweet Onions, corn, and so much more! Pony rides, Petting zoo, adorable painted items for photo ops there was so much here for everyone. Follow Aloun Farms on Instagram @alounfarmshawaii as they do have other events and as we're rolling back to normalcy it's just the best to support local and our farms freshness with another sip of juice from Lani Moo before we left just made mom's day! Thank you!

I attended the annual Pumpkin Patch Festival at Aloun Farms. Driving to the farm was super easy. GPS led me to the entrance and there is a big sign pointing to the entrance. The drive into the parking area is kind of long, especially when there's a lot of cars also trying to enter at the same time. There is a single line of cars until you pay right before the parking lot. Entrance was $5.00 a person, with free parking. I found a spot easily in the dirt lot. The nice thing about the Pumpkin Patch Festival is there is a little bit of everything. There's a petting zoo, craft/vendor booths, free hay rides and lots of food options. I went to the pumpkin patch and sunflower field. It was a really nice view, and there were some photo taking areas set up. Everyone was respectful in waiting in line and social distancing. The only thing is that there is not a lot of shade at the festival. It was really hot and dusty. I recommend bringing a hat and bottled water. I saw some people wheeling a wagon through the pumpkin patch, but the ground can get uneven so just watch out for that. I checked out the food booths and there were plate lunches, shaved ice, and turkey legs. There was definitely a nice variety of foods to eat. Shaved ice was $7 (includes topping of condensed milk and living powder). I settled on a food truck (I forgot the name) but they served pancit and lumpia for $9.50. The portions were decent for the price. I went from 10 am - 12 pm, so it was really busy and packed. I give props to the families because I felt uncomfortable in the heat. I really wish I brought my hat that day so at least it would protect me from the blazing sun.

We don't really get to see the seasons change here in Hawai'i so it's great to find fun ways to celebrate fall, like going to a pumpkin patch. I was excited to go to Aloun Farms this year and they did not disappoint. We came here around 10am on Saturday and just like I anticipated, there was a lot of people. Although there was a lot of people, the line to enter the parking lot wasn't bad and we easily found parking. We also walked right into the festival and was greeted with a sample of juice from Meadow Gold. They also gave us a free gallon of iced tea when we left, awesome! There were a lot of food vendors to choose from. My boyfriend got the corn, which he loved, and I got the halo halo. I definitely needed a cold treat to cool off because it was very hot. There was limited shade but a lot of fun activities to do that kept your mind off of how hot it was. I really loved taking photos in the sunflower field and picking our own pumpkins. It was a bit tricky finding pumpkins that weren't bruised or smashed, but we found a couple that we were satisfied with. I didn't see any workers in the field. Luckily, I brought a couple reusable bags to help us carry it out to the front to pay. They were both $10 each. Tip: Pick the pumpkins at the end to avoid carrying them in the heat. There were a lot of fun activities for the keiki as well. Lots of carnival rides, a petting zoo, and pony rides. It looked like they were having a lot of fun. Overall, I had a fun time and took plenty photos.

Invited by cousins to pick corn! Ended up@ Aloun farms in Kunia. The have a whole bunch of activities going on out there! A Pumpkin patch, corn picking , String bean picking all for a fee to participate. You are in a big dirt field, hot & dusty & a lot of families roaming around the midway filled with food vendors , EK Fernandez carnival rides & vendors selling their wares. A real carnival atmosphere! Free entertainment on stage. Cost is $5.00 to enter the free parking lot per person over 2 yrs old. Plenty of food options , I was surprised to observe that my favorite Huli Huli chicken was priced at $40.00 per bird. & 20.00 for a half. Pretty steep! The patch is open for the next two weekends & plan accordingly to what you plan to do. Sunscreen & a hat are needed. Bring or buy water. It's Super Hot & shade is under the covers. Have fun! Having picked corn, they give you a red stretchable bag that you can fill up & by stripping the husk off & trimming the ends can easily fit 40 plus ears of sweet raw corn on the cob! A fun experience considered work! Wear long sleeves to protect you arms & something to help you carry out your haul, we had back packs & a pocket knife.Prepare accordingly for this adventure& the corn was good & sweet to eat!

Aloun Farms was open to the public in October 2023. The admission fee was $5 per person. Parking was on the dirt rocky road, which from there you walked a bit to the festivities. There were picture taking with pumpkin decorations, food booths, produce for sell, keiki rides and activities, informative booths, sunflower patch, pumpkin patch and a corn field to pick your own for $25 a bag. It was a nice, hot, sunny day. There was a tractor ride too going around the pumpkin patch and corn field. But don't sit right behind the tractor because the tires kicked up a lot of dirt!
