The room was large with a great bathroom with separate toilet. The restaurant was very good, especially the breakfast. Breakfast included freshly prepared eggs and a very good selection of teas. Great restaurants are nearby too, just ask reception. The city is a 5 minute walk away. There is shopping, including a Christmas market before Christmas, and a very nice movie theater. The main reason to love this hotel is the Wellness Spa and Pool area. Totally relaxing and the sauna is adults only. I think this is a perfect weekend getaway for a couple.

What a magical place. Wonderful family suites with the perfect layout. Bedroom for mom and dad…read moreand a bunk room for the kids. All with jaw-dropping views of the alps. You can get a full-board stay and have all three meals at the Moosalm and the food is terrific. Wander just a few steps (literally) outside, and there's a great playground with a zipline and a petting zoo. A leisurely 1-minute walk away and you're at an alpine coaster which whips down the ski runs and leaves you wanting more. (Take the gondola back up for another run.) Or, 1- minute in another direction and you're at a fabulous ropes course with numerous courses good for 4-year olds on up to advanced climbers. Or, walk right out the door to a number of hiking trails. We opted to just play with the kids on the huge wildflower-coated alpine hillside. Can it get any better than this? I don't think so. We expected to use the Moosalm as a base to explore this area of Austria. There's a great little castle just down the hill and some awesome Roman ruins nearby. But, my kids never wanted to leave all of the fun things the hotel had to offer. It's still easily their favorite place in Europe.

Most meals come with a bread basket and butter or spread. The coffee is really good and they have non-dairy milks. Small staff though and breakfast gets busy so come early or be prepared to wait. Can make reservations ahead of time. Are here twice and loved it.
