I was on the Cape for a week and was looking for a place to train. Patrick, the owner, could not have been nicer or more accommodating in offering a guest spot at his place. I went 3 times, including various levels of Krav Maga, a little bit of light sparring and some groundwork. The instructors were all top class. The students were well trained, good partners, and all around great and interesting people. All were very welcoming. Classes were well organized and well sized for getting the most out of each hour. I can't wait to go back next time I am on Cape Cod. If I lived here full time, I'd join immediately. read more

Taking the first step in going to a place like this is usually difficult. Please let me say it gets better and not worse when you walk in here. I took my son in to see the school and get us both familiar with the lay of the land. We were greeted by Pat, who is the owner, and he could not have been nicer and more welcoming. Pat explained everything simply and easily. He's professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and was willing to work out any payment plan that worked for our budget. He didn't seem like an overly eager or aggressive salesman trying to stack his numbers, but a brother, friend, mentor, happy to help us with our self defense goals. Pat was quick to offer us a class, and set my young son up with a student similar to my son's age (10-ish), to walk him through. He loved it. Krav Maga is real; the classes challenge you, the techniques truly teach you for real world potential threats. If you're having difficulty understanding something, Pat or another teacher will willingly and patiently walk you through it. The gym is clean, and COVID conscience. I love that Pat is always on hand for and question or issue. I enjoy his regular emails with reminders, updates, recent/breaking school news/events. Definitely worth taking that first step. read more

Incredible & supportive environment! I (and my 2 daughters) have been going for 2 years now. I initially was very apprehensive because I'm very self conscious and shy by nature, but immediately felt welcomed, comfortable, and supported. Not to mention, Great work out and teaches practical skills to defend yourself. Highly recommend to anyone read more

Established in 2014, Alpha Krav Maga Boston Cape Cod is another step in the journey of majority owner Patrick Carty. Patrick is retiring as a commander from a decorated 28 year career in law enforcement which saw him earn over 50 departmental awards and become recognized as one of the top Community Policing authorities in the region. Patrick is a two time national law enforcement fitness champion and has earned an expert instructor certification under world famous Alpha Krav Maga instructor Sam Sade. Patrick also earned a student black belt under his business partner and long time friend Dennis Amato. Patrick has trained hundreds of civilians and law enforcement officers on Cape Cod and beyond. If it's Krav Maga on Cape Cod, Patrick's name will be synonymous.

The owner is lovely and tries hard to keep stubborn clients that know it all safe and enjoying a good workout. I can't see the women in the Cape Cod area. Don't frighten me - some do! You can't guide them if they're doing something that could hurt them because these women know it all and want to do it their way. But the trainers here know how to keep them safe!
