Service has been outstanding. We had an inspection done and they found a major leak from a regulator on top of the tank. It has leaked for a very long time. They also found regulators that were years out of date. We have had other inspectors out and had the tank filled many times. Nobody else caught the issues. I was trying to order propane, but the lady at the front desk was very rude. Customer service was very abrasive. I understand that ratings can vary, but there is no reason to be rude to customers who ask thoughtful questions. Instead, be supportive and customer-driven. Work on your sales approach. If your front office acts this way, I can only imagine what the back office looks like. How we do anything is how we do everything. read more

Eric and his crew are professionals. They inspected aspects of our gas hookups that were in dire need of safety correction without making a big deal about it. Stay away from this company. Office lady is absolutely rotten to deal with! Been a customer 35+/- years. I have 3 tanks in the same driveway and 2 of those are right next to each other. Can't fill the 2nd because it's at 40%. She says call back when it's at 25%. You're already here, what's the problem? I've always paid my bills and it seems to me that it would save the company time, fuel and wages to do it all at once instead of making seprrate trips. Well, im furious with the attitude, unprofessionalism and downright rudeness so ill take my business elsewhere. I wholeheartedly suggest everyone else do the same. TO THE MANAGEMENT: One bad employee can ruin your business! Get rid of the toxic folks answering your phones. I've used Alpha Propane ever since my wife and I moved to Montana back in 2021. We built our home and purchased our 1000 gallon tank from them. In addition to the 1000 gallon tank, my wife lived in our 5th wheel (the rig) while the house was being built, so we also had to fill the tanks for the rig which we brought to Alpha throughout the winter months. Everything that we've had Alpha do has been awesome. Installation of the tank, safety check after the house was completed and friendly service when filling up our tanks for the rig. I'm not one to leave reviews but after seeing the old posts that were not positive I just had to leave a review. The main reason for leaving this review is that I called recently to ask when they'd be out to refill our tank. We have a monitor on our tank so Alpha knows how much we have and they respond accordingly. I also use their app and it's great. Our tank is low but we are not using that much propane now that the weather is warmer. The app kept telling me a day they'd be out but each week it'd get pushed out. I called and asked what's going on and Katherine told me they were waiting for the price of propane to go down and I shouldn't be concerned because they are monitoring it, of course. I can't tell you how impressed I was that they were looking out to save me money. Who does that? Needless to say, I will staying with Alpha for the foreseeable future and beyond. read more

Terribly company. I've asked twice for a larger tank and twice I've been refused a larger tank. I'm told I don't use enough propane to warrant a larger tank, yet two winters in a row I have nearly ran out of propane before they can fill my tank. Usually, 7-10 day wait. WOW! I have a 90-year-old mother living with me who obviously can't go without heat. They don't care!! I was told when I show more usage they can bring a larger tank. Ok! Let's think about this. I can't use what you won't provide!! Not rocket science!! If it's more propane you want me to use, then bring the damn propane and I'll use it. In a larger tank!! I do NOT recommend this company, they came and filled our tank when we were not home last year we called and said we don't want them to just come and fill, so we told them to put us on will call. We'll they came out today and we were home, we told the driver, and he didn't fill , called the office and told them to put us on will call AGAIN and got Mary VERY rude, will NEVER do business with them again. Called 406 propane very nice customer service they will come out and fill our tank next week and for .15 a gallon less, it really adds up when you get 450 gallons. read more

We've been their customer for several years now and definitely plan to continue. Their prices are competitive (no hidden fees), their office staff responsive and courteous, and our "regular" delivery guy is particularly adept at navigating our tight, curving entry gate. We particularly appreciate the pre-delivery phone call that gives us time to secure our dog. We're on "will call" delivery service, and have never had to wait more than a couple of day when requesting a delivery. In short, they're a good, reliable business. read more

I do NOT recommend this company unless you want horrible customer service, hidden charges. Most expensive prices. Tried to get them to pick their tank up last October, they didn't answer any of my left messages or have the time to answer their phone during normal business hours. Then today all of the sudden they are coming for their tank, they won't make an appointment to pick it up. The rent is paid on it for another two months. There are not picking it up today they will have to make an appointment at MY convenience, not theirs. read more
