The shaved included a head massage while wrapped in a hot towel

Sharing what I posted on my Facebook feed yesterday There we were walking along and I see a barber shop next to the chocolate shop we were just in. Once in a while I treat myself. Best head shave ever! At least 45 minutes. Hot towels, massage and barely felt the straight razor. All for 250 pesos and a tip. Highly recommend and if I'm back in San Jose del Cabo, this is on my must do list.

Needed to get a haircut while on vacay here and I'm so happy that this place was near where I'm currently staying. The staff here was super kind, I loved the "barbershop" vibe of this place. Jose Luis (hoping I remembered his name correctly) was also very attentive to what I wanted and even did a trim with my eyebrows (and washed my hair before and after the cut). This was all done for 400 pesos which equals to about $23 USD. Lastly, they even gave me a tequila shot so big win! Also, just an FYI please bring cash as they don't have a credit card reader (I brought USD and it was fine). read more

Was walking along downtown San Jose and noticed 2 gentlemen by the chocolate shop dressed really nice in bow ties and asked if they were barbers... Urial was the gentlemen who responded and said yes. I asked him directly how much for a haircut and beard trim and he proceeded to tell me $400 pesos... I said great let's do it. Urial did take his time and is a master craftsman he cut my hair really good and the beard trim was great. I was done I proceed to give him a $500 peso bill and he then advised me it was $800 total... $400 pesos for haircut and $400 for beard.... I said no that's not what you said it was $400 total. He said no it's $800. I didn't argue with him and paid him a total of $900 pesos. I'm from America and that is the most I have ever paid for a haircut and trim. If you are a foreigner please make sure you have the agreed price before they touch your hair. I will not be going back here. read more

Found this place online and biked over. Usiel cut my hair. Did a great job, very clean place and great service. Me being a gringo with limited Spanish was not an issue, he spoke good English with me. This will be my go to place. read more

Love getting my haircut here when in Baja! For Americans it will remind you of an era gone by. Straight razors, shaving cream, head massages. Who knew a haircut is an international language. A lot of pointing, laughs, bad English, worse Spanish and a great experience. Toss a $20 at the end and you have a barber for life! read more

Was in San Jose for some R&R, needed a haircut, Alpha is just of traffic circle not far from La Comer.....walked in, Enrique was very thorough.... Straight razor and shaving cream for sideburns and neck clean up. Fast, easy, affordable! read more
