THERE ARE NO WORDS OR ENOUGH STARS!!!!…read more But I will try: The driver, Darryl, was exceptional in ways beyond his timeliness, professionalism, and overall exceeding any normal expectations of a 'norm'. Most important? He was human- he was compassionate, understanding, and sympathetic in employing his skills in that he undertook me as a 'person' having a really, really bad string of fate and bad luck, and without 'pity', he was engaging and made me feel like I was safe, that he cared, and that I was neither simply another credit card nor a forgotten face as he counted down to quitting time. He. Was. Exceptional. And for all that he did, I am grateful. But for all that he may never know about how he made my soul feel that indeed, the sun is still shining, I have a very, very long memory - and I will take this kindness, this healing to my soul and pay it forward. Thank you to you, Darryl - you are a shining light to Jim's Towing and I pray that others may also be blessed by your shining lights, as needing a tow is never a highlight of one's day!! But I must also pay homage to the kindness and empathy with which I was treated from the moment the phone was answered after I dialed the number for Jim's Towing for the woman who answered, another 'human' walking among us, was not only professional and knowledgeable, but she exuded a warmth and patience, allowing me the time to 'pull it together' so she could gather the information from my quivering and nearly dissolving faith in humanity. In doing so, she 'got me'- in more ways than one - most importantly- instead of feeling invisible, abandoned and fearful, her tone, her words - I was enveloped in a warmth of humanity from her to me. She, as well, will likely never know the profound impact that she had on me- not only in that phone call - but in my heart and faith that yes, **** happens, but not everyone is to be written off The folks at Jim's towing? They are "PEOPLE" - REAL HUMAN BEINGS - they go above and beyond the 'tasks' of towing. They personalize it - recognizing it to be a time when 'clients' are in need of more than a 'tow' Would I recommend them? That depends. Have you become so acclimated to the dehumanization process received everywhere from the bank to the hospital to of course government wanting but never giving? If so then no, you should look to, perhaps to a national three letter chain, my first call resulting in abandonment onsite, as they appear well scripted. But if you wish, in your time of need, to have a professional, timely, and yes, affordable tow - JIM'S TOWING - no hesitation, no question, my word is my bond. As I said, I have no words..... Thank you.

Contacted them to get a quote on a tow for an RV. Was told between $150 and $250/hr depending on…read morethe weight. Was asked to send a photo of the RV, which I did and received an email stating "$150/hour". Booked the tow which was a total distance of 44 km from tow yard to the destination. Got billed at a rate of $250/hour for 2.5 hours. Asked for an accounting of the driver's time which they say they track with GPS. They took 30 minutes to hook it up (seems excessive), then took 70 minutes to drive 44 km which means they drove less than 40km/hour in an 80km/hr zone (I've never seen a tow truck drive that slow). Took 20 minutes to unhook the RV , took 30 minutes to drive back and then tacked on an additional 20 minutes. Guess the client pays for coffee breaks. Being generous, this job should have taken a max of 2 hours. If you find yourself having to use this service for any reason, get EVERYTHING in writing and accompany them the entire way to track the time. Better yet, use a different service.
