My water heater went out. The company that "diagnosed" the problem charged me $99 and said that…read morethis did not include the cost to replace it. The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! Disappointing experience. I encountered several issues with J. Blanton's service beginning with a…read more$50 consult fee. (This is not industry standard. The plumber I called after J. Blanton didn't charge me anything for an assessment.) So Zach came and gave me an assessment that seemed like a more involved (and pricier) fix than I thought was necessary for my slow-draining bathroom sink, but I'm not a plumber so I trusted him and agreed to the service. He quoted me a time frame "first thing tomorrow morning" and when I asked how long it would take I was told, "not more than an hour." At 1:45 pm my plumber arrived, a young guy, nice enough, he replaced the part that was needed but was not able to rod the pipe. He said it was not possible and said the only way to clear my back-up would be a very invasive major undertaking involving tearing out the pipes from underneath the house and replacing them; a job he estimated at $3,200. I said no thank you. By the time he left four hours later, my sink was in worse condition than when he arrived. It had been a slow drain before and was now at a complete stand still. He left me with standing water in the sink, a big mess on the floor which he did not offer to clean, and the dread of a potentially hugely disruptive plumbing process looming. My story has a happy ending, though. The next day I called Elk Grove Village Sewer & Plumbing. They had someone out to fix my problem (without a costly assessment) the same day and that guy was able to do the "impossible" rodding job in under 15 minutes. My sink drains perfectly now, no pipe-cutting necessary. The redeeming factor I will mention is that everyone I spoke to, including the receptionists, were courteous. Even so, I won't be bothering with J. Blanton again.

I obtained an estimate from Gary after sending some photos of my job, and the final invoice was right in line with that initial estimate. I was able to get the work scheduled in a couple days, and the communication was great. I got text message alerts of arrival time window, and who would be coming. Once the Andrew and Gustavo arrived at my house on the day of the job, they were friendly and went right to work. They wore shoe covers when coming into my house, and they were very knowledgeable and communicated what they needed (like turning on the faucets in my bathrooms when the main water line was shut off). I had bought the utility sink that I wanted to replace my old one with so Andrew and Gustavo figured out the new piping that needed to be put in, and went the extra mile to make sure that the install of the sink was perfect by stabilizing the sink so it wouldn't be so shaky. The entire job took a little under three hours, and I was very pleased with the craftsmanship. All the work was explained to me. They truly live up to their namesake, Plumbing Pros!

So aqua knight came and replaced them, then I had an issue with the water pressure, I was sure what google told me was the problem.
