It had been 8 weeks since my last cut so I took a chance on whoever was available at Westover, based on Yelp reviews. I walked in, waited less than 5 minutes, and got Vito. No muss, no fuss, very old school. Reminded me of when I was a kid. Loved it and paid exactly what I would have paid driving crosstown.

Initially I was really excited to go get my haircut here as many of my friends recommended it. I went a total of 3 times, 2 to this location and 1 to the other Rochester location. The first 2 times my haircut was good, nothing AMAZING, but pretty decent for what you pay for. The third time, however, it was a completely different story. Although the initial haircut was very similar to what I had gotten before, towards the end the barber mentioned that he was going to trim the front. I thought this meant a simple touch up of sideburns, the hair next to my forehead, etc. What he actually ended up doing was cut straight into my hairline in an atrocious attempt to "even my hairline". I naturally have a widows peak and cutting into my hairline just doesn't make any sense and is only going to make it look horrendous as the hair slowly starts to grow back. Now I'm stuck with quite honestly a shitty haircut for the next year or two as my hair starts growing back and looking natural again, all thanks to the horrible haircut I received here. Will never go back and do not recommend at all!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE YOUR HAIR A BIT LONGER. I showed her a picture of my last hair cut and told her to cut it the same length. She asked if I wanted a scissor or shaver. I said whatever works the best. She asked if I wanted a 5 or 6. I replied I have no idea what that means. So for the last 35 years my hair has been at least 6 inches long on top with sides tapering. She cut it to about 3" max on top AND 1/2 INCH ON THE SIDES! She used a shaver with a depth clip and just buzzed it off. Good thing my fist visit was free. She didn't even blow the cut hairs off me. Yes I still tipped her. Sorry but that is not worth $30. Nope never going back.
