It is evident that excellence is a priority across every area of the school. Beyond the classroom, the extracurricular programs and athletics have further enriched our son's experience. One of the things we love most is the sense of genuine community. At sporting events, it is common to see teachers and administrators not only supporting their own children, but enthusiastically cheering on the entire team. Ontario Christian High School is out here acting like they're molding saints, but really, they're just growing drama queens who can't even lead themselves. Let me break it down for you: this school is a small public school with uniforms slapped on, the same petty cliques, the same fake smiles, the same backstabbing only with way less freedom and way more rules pretending to be "Godly." They love to throw Bible verses on posters and call it "Christian leadership," but where's the real love? The real respect? Nah, it's all about who's popular, who's in the "in" crowd, and who can keep their perfect little image together for Instagram. Look, I'm an Instagram addict. I'm glued to my phone, I love posting and scrolling and connecting. And guess what? Public school is a million times better for that kind of vibe. I can be myself, scroll whenever I want, and not have to worry about being "too loud" or "too much" for some school that's supposed to be about faith but just about keeping up appearances. I've been to their homecoming, their formal, their sports games -- and let me tell you, what I saw was a whole lot of hypocrisy. Leaders acting all sweet in front of teachers but turning around to talk trash like middle schoolers. Staff turning a blind eye to favoritism, as if it were some big secret, while other students get punished for breathing wrong. And now? They decide to slap on this ridiculous phone ban like that's gonna fix anything. Taking phones away from teenagers who live on their devices? That's not protection, it's control. My friend went through Ontario Christian and bounced out for public school. And honestly, both of us are so much happier now. We get to be real, to laugh, to live, without pretending to be "perfect Christians" for a crowd that only cares about its image. If this is what they mean by "Growing Christian Leaders," then honestly, they're failing spectacularly. When my daughter had an anxiety attack, instead of helping, the principal told her to "get up and go to class" while she was crying and unable to breathe. That's not leadership -- that's cruelty. The new bathroom rules are beyond ridiculous. Only ONE bathroom pass per class? My daughter said a girl stained herself during her period because she couldn't go. That is humiliating and completely unacceptable. Students aren't even allowed in buildings or outside during lunch, and the new drop-off/pick-up system has already caused accidents. This principal is doing the most but not even doing anything to protect our children. The students look miserable every day leaving school. Parents -- beware. I am switching my daughter to another school.

Don't get me wrong it was always a bit cliquey but it's taken a turn for the worse. The office staff is rude and disrespectful. The events are always communicated to the parents the day of, the day before, or in cases like today, the day after. That's finally what prompted me to write a review. There's typos in the communications from teachers and staff alike. And for how unorganized and late their communications are you'd think they'd show some grace for the students, but of course, they don't. The proctors or whoever it is that stand outside during onsite events have attitudes every single time. Sometimes I'm walking straight towards a ramp and they wait till my foot is on the ramp to tell me I had to go around. Now, why would you do that unless you want to be rude ?? Common sense would tell you to let people know on their approach, "hi, welcome, you're going to enter on your left" or something to that effect. A few years ago when the new "management" came in my child was being picked up for a fall and the office staff started yelling at my child and had her finger in my child's face when I had to say something. If that's how they treat kids when a parent is around, imagine when they're alone?? I really miss the old principal. He was the complete opposite of current administration. PFO and all the activities are so dull and sad looking and I know it's because of the leadership and the people who make it so unpleasant. I have one child at another school in the area due to special needs and it's like night and day with Edison. I'm talking parades, backdrops, Christmas presentations with props, the whole nine yards.
