Of course some translators are obliged to take the jobs anyway. Then they don't pay them for months, sometime only after you threat with legal prosecution. A shame for the industry!

I did work for ComTranslations 5 months ago and they still have not paid me. On top of that, the…read morerate they offered to pay was pretty low but I did it anything thinking it would not take long but it was a very tedious, stressful, time-consuming assignment for which I had to download several different softwares and match audio with the subtitles I translated. A project that took me 20 something hours and I'm getting a hundred bucks. NOT WORTH working for this company!
