I have distant family in and around Altarnun. When I am rich and famous, I am going to buy myself a little stone cottage someplace in Cornwall, perhaps Altarnun, close to this wonderful little post office. I love the pale stone that the older buildings in Altarnun seem to all be constructed of. Is it the local granite from Bodmin Moor? The hanging containers full of plants, the narrow little streets. The ambiance that hooked Daphne du Maurier in.
I would have a horse. I would have rubber boots. I would have a garden. I would go to the sea-shore in the summer, wearing long legged striped suit, bring a spade, eat pasties, Cornish clotted cream on scones and icecream, and I will STILL be as thin as a rail. Complements of my overarching imagination.
