Hello all, I was a customer with Alternative Funding Group and I want to share my experience with you. While this is a short version of the events, it should give you something to determine if you want to work with this company using your own judgment. Like many business owners, we have to pay vendors. Especially during Covid, cash is just harder to come by. One of my vendors was in need of money because he just had a newborn. So I decided to borrow some money to pay him in full. In many phone conversations in which I was promised a bigger loan, I did not end up with a bigger loan. They said that I need to get a small loan to build up my business credit, a buy-in so I can get a bigger loan so-to-speak.  Being new to business borrowing, I followed their advice and obtained a loan that I did not want in the first place. They promised I can refinance my loan after making 40% or 50% of the payment of the loan. I loyally pay the daily payment, when the time came to refi, I was told I need to get another small loan while waiting for my file to be qualified. So I did. I loyally make the daily payment on time for both small loans. The time came again for the refinance conversation, they finally denied my file and told me that I do not qualify. They told me my credit was not good enough and told me that unless I have a 680 credit score, I would not be qualified for the refinance program they promised. I want to make it clear, I was not told that I need a 680 credit score to refinance, and I was promised the loan amount as long as I paid the 40 to 50% off of the first loan that they sold me. Now I'm stuck with 2 small loans with absurdly high fees. I was promised over and over again the loan that I originally want to obtain, and I was even promised Paycheck Protection Program and SBA 7(A) loan. None of the promised had been fruitful. I called my bank and reported the situation and I stopped them from taking money from my bank account as soon as I found out that they were not going to fulfill what was promised to me. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with multiple federal agencies in regard to my situation. I'm a small business owner and I feel that I have been taken advantage of.  I am a true believer in doing the right things. I'm angry because I have been lied to and sad because my vendor did not get the money he needed for his 3-month-old son. I'm not telling you to not use them for your borrowing needs, I'm simply sharing my experience and actual events with you so you can make your own decision. Good luck to you all~ read more
