This is the worst Guardianship service I have ever encountered. Unprofessional, rude, and downright mean to others. No thought for anyone's welfare, wellbeing, or just emotional health. They had a client; this client's significant other was treated in the worst possible way. They should not be allowed to go on in this business. My heart breaks for their client who actually passed away, and his significant other of 20 plus years. Wasn't even allowed to be with him. Do not send loved ones to these people. read more

He was never helpful with her and she always complained about Antony lying about going to pick her up to help her get food. Alternative Resolutions was appointed guardian over my my mom after I moved out of state. If you have anything to do with choosing a guardian for your loved one do not choose them. They do not understand family dynamics! They are the root cause of much family divide amongst the brothers and sisters. read more

After noticing the negative review written, I wanted to express my experience working with Alternative Resolutions. Yes, it is true for me as well that calling yields very few actual answered phone calls, and I too have left messages that have not been replied to. It's like there's a vacuum of some kind in the office. I have also, however, HAD some calls returned, and most of my email messages replied to. Just two days ago I sent an email to my contact person there, the principal, and the staff replied right away: "____ is out of the office this week; she will respond to you upon her return." This is more typical. My mother is the compromised person and boy is she a challenge. Alternative has made excellent decisions regarding what to fund and what to deny, and (I think) because they and I respect one another, and both have Mother's best interests at heart, we work well together. Are they always super timely? No. Have mistakes been made? Yes. Who hasn't?? I sometimes feel that they should increase their staff, due to above-mentioned things, but it is a small business and heaven knows they do not receive much compensation for dealing with my mother. I have had a very negative experience dealing with this company. I really do not think that some of the staff have their clients interest at heart. Nor, are some of them experienced in dealing with certain skills which I will not go into on this forum. I think it is also extremely unprofessional, that when someone takes a message that phone calls are not returned in a timely manner, or certain people get their phone calls returned in others do not. Therefore, this company is receiving an extremely low rating, and I would strongly discourage people to do business with this company. I have had the displeasure of dealing with my mother's care through this company for a few years. At first, they were very supportive but SOOOOO slow to call or respond and many times I would have to call multiple times to get a response. I question their intent for participating in this business, it requires dedication and compassion......not feeling it. When I questioned the reasons why my mother is still not in a skilled nursing facility (she has been dropped multiple times by her assisted living care givers) I'm told that Robin is just walking out the door but assures me that they have applications in for some. Not much comfort when my mom is in the hospital for third time this year related to being dropped. The assisted living is not following their policy and using the mechanical lift, but apparently that's okay because Robin is just walking out the door. Robin, my mom is in the hospital with a broken leg, last time she had to wear a neck brace for 6 weeks and before that she had a broken hip. I'm sorry you're too busy to talk to me. read more

I have had the absolute displeasure to have had to work with ARI. They were hired by the state of MN. as the conservator to my father before his death 11/11/2011. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with them. Once they possess the ability to control a person finances, they do not relinquish their control gracefully and professionally. I have had to argue, plead and harass them for every request. It is now almost 10 months after the passing of my father and I still do not have their corporation and vital paperwork needed to file tax returns and settle my father's estate. ARI never answer their phone, and DO NOT respond in a timely matter to any requests or inquiries by phone, e-mail or in writing. Due to their type of specialty you are placed at their mercy. They are in a position of power over individuals finances and as a result, they hold all the documentation and personal financial inventory to a person's life. I am displeased enough with ARI, I am filing a report with the Better Business Bureau and encourage all to stay away from doing business with this company an any cost. read more
