Excellent German cuisine in a cozy, traditional setting. Our table tried the Halbe Ente (crispy half duck with red cabbage and Knoedel, 14 Euro), the Wildschweingulasch (wild boar gulasch with red cabbage and Boehmische Knoedel, 13 Euro) and the Wiener Schnitzel with mushrooms (12 Euro). I'm always amazed that it tastes exactly as if my grandma would cook it (who knows, they might have a German grandma cooking in the kitchen). We've been coming here for the past couple of years and the quality of food is consistently good. Highly recommended when you're in the area. read more

Wir feierten am 31.03.2011 im alten Forsthaus den 75. Geburtstag unserer Oma! Nach kurzer telefonischer Reservierung wurden all unsere Wünsche und Vorstellungen perfekt umgesetzt und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr gemütlich. Es gibt viel zu entdecken und langeweile kommt dort niemals auf! Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und freuten uns über die schnelle Bedienung. Freundlichkeit wird dort groß geschrieben. Wir können das alte Forsthaus wirklich weiter empfehlen, denn die Gerichte schmecken alle sehr, sehr gut. Wir waren 8 Personen und jeder aß etwas anderes, somit können wir für 8 Gerichte die volle Punktzahl vergeben. read more

Heute waren wir im \"Alten Forsthaus\" zu Mühlenbeck. Volles Haus und trotzdem nette, freunliche und vor allem ungezwungene Bedienung von allen Seiten. Getränke schnell, gut temperiert = sehr gut.. 3 verschiedene Essen + Vorspeise. Alles einfach spitze schon von der Aufmachung auch von der Menge und schon ganz und gar vom Geschmack. Einmalig! Was brauchen wir Sterne-Lokale bei einem solchen Angebot. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Grßes Lob an die gesamte Mannschaft. read more
