El mesero llamado Carlos estaba visiblemente estresado por la carga de trabajo y tuvo una actitud grosera y poco profesional. Llegó incluso a discutir con uno de nosotros por supuestos problemas de informática, algo que no tenía absolutamente nada que ver con nuestra reservación. En lugar de buscar una solución, la actitud fue defensiva y desagradable. La otra mesera que estaba presente tampoco mostró interés en ayudar. Sin duda, el peor servicio que hemos recibido en Madrid. Went there for late (11 is late?) night drinks with friends, ordered the usual gin and tonic (bombay) and there were no free chips and or olives, but hey this wasnt your regular bar (I guess?). Price wise for a medio gin tonic, well, okay but I think I'll just order the big one instead next time. The stars are more for the service and ambiance for a chill night out, nothing too loud or crowded. I still want to come to try the supposedly famous argentinian steak, but...is it still argentinian? Veremos.

We arrived early (8:30) and had the place mostly to ourselves. The cold bar is delicious, with lots of choices of salads, fruits, olives, all kinds of good stuff. But don't fill up there (unless you're a vegetarian) because MEAT is the word here! (OK, actually, it's carne, but you get the idea.) Everything we had from the chefs was delicious. Black sausage, Argentinian sausage, steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, even the grilled veggies were amazing. The prix fix is very reasonable. My only complaint was that we didn't know we could order tinto verano instead of bottled wine. That would have been better (the wine was good, but it was hot, and we could have used something lighter.) But I won't take points for that. All told, the Knife was perfect! 5 smokey grilled stars!
