His calm demeanor is wonderful, absolutely, then couple that with his skill, knowledge, and inventive nature makes him a "miracle worker". I had an emergency on a Friday night (as my front tooth decided to leave), and of course, during after hours. I left a message on the Doctor Vitali's emergency number, but told him not to hurry in, as the emergency was mine, without pain or blood, and wanted him home with his family. Sure enough his Office Manager, Leanne, phoned me first thing Monday morning and scheduled me in that afternoon for a consult. After the consult it was decided that a bridge was needed as both front teeth were in turmoil. This was shocking to hear, but I have faith in this man, from past experiences; yes, was a bit frightened, Both teeth were removed on Holy Thursday and the Monday after Easter, I had a bridge with beautiful teeth. PAINLESS and secure. It had been a long time to eat something with such comfort and normalcy. I forgot what that was like and so very thrilled beyond understanding how he made this happen, but it is truthful. I am so happy., Dr. Bondar's staff has to be commended also, just has to be. Leanne works her magic with running the office and accommodating their patients with regular appointments and those with emergence. I feel really comfortable with her at the helm, always wanting to help and please in a sincere kind and caring way. Federica and Shannon are the doctor's Assistants and where does he get these personal, capable staff members is beyond me. Their gracious persona, and for real caring attitude is very comforting. They made me forget what I was there for. I am scheduled for a cleaning with their Hygienist and have not yet met her, but I've seen her usher her patients out with warmth, and genuine feelings of care, so I am sure, she will be added to my happiness with Smile Design. If you read all about Dr. Vitali's accomplishments on his website, not only is he impressive, but he is kind and a really great human being. It is an honor to be a patient of his. I moved here from MA a year ago and have had a MAD (mandibular advancement device) for 5 years and my appliance is at its end of estimated life expectancy. After reading their info on their webpage they seemed to be the place to go. I had a free consult and was advised that I would need to pay $99 for an at home sleep study. NOTE: before making an appointment I contacted my insurance-BCBS. They advised me that no new sleep study was required as I have been wearing an appliance for 5 years. I just needed a referral from my PCP stating it's a medical necessity AND I would need an out of network insurance referral. This was all to be done by the dentist. Well after waiting over a month, I received a text message asking me if I had gotten all of the authorizations and referrals. Hmmm I had forwarded everything that was needed to the dentist and she assured me that she just needed to forward everything to the billing department. Fast forward...I received a bill for $450 from the company that "read" the sleep study. Nope not covered by insurance because the company is out of CA and the dentist did NOT obtain any out of network insurance referrals. I mentioned to them about the bill and their response was "sorry to hear that". They left me a text message stating "we can reduce the cost of the appliance significantly for you from $6700 to $3195. This would be due at time of records. My insurance does cover the appliance and I would only have to pay 20% plus $25 for each office visit. Apparently companies just don't know how to handle insurance claims or just plain don't want to do it. I called them and advised them that I'll be traveling 2 hours back to MA where it can be done hassle free.

The camaraderie between the staff and patients helps everyone to relax. After all, who wants to spend time in the dentists chair? As for Dr. Nick, he genuinely cares about his patients and staff.
