Our room would normally have a million dollar view of the Kurfürstliches Schloss, which is currently under renovations, but the Ehrenbreitstein is visible in the distance. Not only is the room is air-conditioned and comes with a refrigerator and hot pot, but we are provided with a hand-held fan to keep cool when we are outdoors! The lobby has a water-refilling station of both still and sparkling mineral water, which is fitting as Koblenz exports its water!
At breakfast, a robot brings trays of used dishes for washer, which probably results in fewer breakages and workplace incidents. At the egg station, omelette ingredients are kept in a closed, refrigerated drawer, which is more hygienic. Jams were dispensed in dispensers, reducing use of single serving plastics. Our favorite is the drinks dispenser which keeps glass bottles of juices and water filled while still letting us pour our glass into our own glasses.
