My son and daughter received braces from Dr. Lisa Alvetro. Both experiences were awesome, so I decided it was time for me to get adult braces to fix a problematic cross bite that had developed over four decades after having teenage braces. Once again, Dr. Alvetro and her amazing staff did not disappoint! There are many reasons I recommend Alvetro Orthodontics. One reason is Dr. Alvetro's utilization of cutting edge technology such as the 3Shape Trios Intraoral scanner. This is a dental digital scanner, so when I need to have an impression of my teeth I don't have to gag repeatedly on the thick goopy stuff typically placed in the mouth to make the impression. This is a big deal for people who have a hyper gag reflex. Instead, Dr. Alvetro's staff moves a delicate wand over the teeth and the image presents on a screen. That's it, total patient comfort! The image is sent to their 3-D printer and the impression is produced with amazing accuracy. I love the perfect fit of my night wear retainer as a result of this advanced technology. i would like to start by saying I have NEVER taken the time to write a review but I feel like I need to share our experience. We called Alvetro for a consult for our oldest boy and had our first meeting with the Tipp city office. We were very excited to start the process as we felt they were a very professional/friendly orthodontist! Alvetro recommended that we schedule with an oral surgeon as my boy has a supernumerary (extra tooth) that they wanted clarification on before starting procedure. I called Alvetros office to send over the information and what they needed the surgeons office to evaluate. We scheduled with our local surgeon and when my son and I arrived, we had to wait for a good amount of time because Alvetro had never sent over said paperwork. We had x-rays taken and the surgeon made his recommendations and sent back to Alvetro office. Over 2 weeks went by and still no response or game plan to proceed from Alvetro. Shortly after, the Covid(shutdown) came into play and everything was obviously on hold. When offices started opening back up, I called Alvetro and ask about getting my boy in to start his process. i was told I would get a call back. First call was on a Monday, so when Thursday came I reached out again asking for guidance on our plan and recieved same response. I personally made it a priority to call 1 or 2 times a week for 3 1/2 weeks and never once was able to be connected to scheduler or someone with information. Early last week, I called and recieved same response as before to which I explained it has been over three weeks and I will keep calling untill I get some information. My wife and I really would like to get the process started before summer vacations and fall sports so this was very important to us. Mary finally was able to take my call that day and informed me that we needed a second consult with a different oral surgeon and a 3d scan because they were not happy with information from first surgeon. This was the First response or bit of information we had received from Alvetro since our original consult and now was being told to start with another surgeon (1 1/2) months out for a second opinion before they would proceed. I was not happy about our options but agreed and Alvetro said they would call and try to get through the new surgeons office. We received an appointment confirmation saying we have appt 1 month away. The last straw came in form of a letter a few days later, saying they felt they were not able to help us anymore and we should go elsewhere and enclosed my boys records. I don't think my wife and I have ever been so disappointed in a process like this over anything. An orthodontist is an extremely important decision and and cost a great deal of money any we felt like we were given NO respect, information, time in this process. Individuals such as myself, depend on the information and communications of professional businesses, as this is not our area of expertise. My family had such high hopes and expectations for Alvetro and were looking forward to a good experience for my boy( and a younger son that will need Ortho work as well). We feel very let down and still have not been contacted from Alvetro office on such reasoning. read more
