One of the best experiences of my life, no exaggeration. My sister purchased a gift certificate for Always Pretty Salon and Day Spa for my birthday for the Living Waters Watsu. I suffer from three bulging discs in my lower back, bilateral sciatica and fibromyalgia. I also suffer from anxiety and panic disorder as well. Carol is the most caring person you will ever meet, she truly has a gift from God. When people on here have said you feel like you're reborn again they are absolutely correct. This therapy is not only for the body but your mind and soul as well. I came away with less pain, so relaxed and more flexibility and not only that but my mind was at ease also. I recently visited this spa for a pedicure and massage - it was wonderful! Such a pleasant experience. The "Head Over Feet" pedicure was so very relaxing in that comfy massage chair, and I had the best time talking with Carol. For the head, neck and shoulders massage we went upstairs to a beautiful, dim, quiet room with some soothing music playing. The massage was wonderful, I could tell Carol really knows what she's doing. She was finding knots in my back I didn't even know I had! She also let me experience the Tibetan singing bowl - it's a heavy bowl placed on the head and gonged softly so that your entire body experiences the sound and vibration. This method of "Sound Healing" is said to reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being and better health. Very fascinating! The spa itself is absolutely adorable; decorated with beautiful little trinkets everywhere and embellishments from around the world. Just lovely. I had such a good time! read more

Don't expect shiny new modern digs with fancy prices to match. Connie, the owner, is a sweet, caring and nurturing woman who just wants to make you happy in anyway she can. She is light and genuine and built her business around the goal of just making people feel happy and at home. For example, during my "Head Over Feet" pedicure, she asked what music I liked. I told her James Taylor and she searched and searched and finally found a JT CD to play for me and said "Oh I was so excited when I found the CD because I knew I could make you happy." Needless to say, what a cool pedicure this speciality she offers is. Basically you lay back in a reclining leather massaging chair so you are almost parallel with the floor, your legs bent at the knees. A fresh lemongrass eye cover is placed over your eyes and you can basically sleep as your toes get pedicured and polished. And for Bikini Wax enthusiasts: she uses hard wax with a special oil for your skin to help like European Wax Centers do! read more

This place is awesome to get your nails done at and very worth it. The interior of the salon is beautiful. It has an Renaissance/old world feel to the decor. It is on the outskirts of Quakertown in a town called Coopersburg. This is NOT one of the salons in Quakertown where they rush you out because they are busy and barely speak English. Carol, the owner, gave me a manicure before going on vacation the next day and they turned out beautiful! If you are tired of the run of the mill nail salon, you need to check this place out! I had no idea that they also have so many other services to choose from. I also enjoyed that they had online booking as well. Makes life a lot easier to figure out what times they have available to see you. I will definitely be coming back for a couple's massage and to get my hair cut in the future. read more

I truly am impressed with Always Pretty Salon and Spa. I have passed the shop a thousand times, and today, when I was once again searching for a new colorist, I read their reviews and called Linda. She is booked far in advance, but as it happened she had a cancellation and called she was able to squeeze me in. Walking into the shop is like "coming home." The beautiful woodwork, stained glass windows, and cozy feel is reinforced by the staff. Linda immediately made me feel as though I had known her forever. She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and had an definite eye for color. As her other clients came in, I knew what was missing in all of these "fancy, modern salons," She knew her clients and cared; not just how to do their hair the way they wanted, but who they were. My highlights and color was picture perfect. I also had a chance to meet the salon's owner, Carol, and I am amazed by what she has created and offers on Main St., in small town Coopersburg: permanent makeup ( I also met another client who she did a fantastic job on eyebrow color), nails, massage, and water massage! After contemplating permanent eye liner and researching various salons I chose Always Pretty Salon and Spa. Carol the owner scheduled my appointment and answered my questions over the phone. Upon arriving for my appointment I found the salon to very inviting and clean. Carol went over the details again and showed me how my eyeliner would look with my choice of color. My original appointment was for upper and lower but after some consultation I decided that I would only need the lower eyelid done to get the best look. Carol was completely accommodating and did not attempt to pressure me into getting more than what I thought was right for me. Prior to starting she puts a topical anesthetic on the area and throughout the entire procedure will reapply as necessary to ensure minimal pain and discomfort. She keeps you informed of what she's doing and the progress through out the process. To be clear this is not a pain-free procedure. That said it was worth the discomfort. I am thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend Carol to anyone considering permanent makeup. read more

I visited the salon in November, to have some waxing done. As soon as I entered, I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. I was even greeted by name upon walking in for my appointment. I have been coming here for several years. I have had Carol do eyelash perms on my scrawny lashes and she has always been very patient with me. She stands by her work and has even re-done the service free of charge if it did not come out right. Recently I have had my hair cut by Bett and she did a great job, doing what she called a "disconnected cut" which kept my length but added layers. Bett recently took me from blonde to dark and also did a great job! She even thought to dye my brows, since they were so light, to match my new darker hair. I never would have thought of that! It makes sense! That was an awesome idea! The atmosphere of the salon is very warm and inviting, being located within a historic home along Main Street. Carol has online booking which makes thing very convenient, but if you shoot her an email, she'll email you back and well as remind you of your appointment. There is another hairdresser there as well who has a few elderly clients and she will go and pick them up from their home (they're local) and bring them to the salon! Now that is customer service! If you have an elderly family member who would like to get their hair done remember this salon! read more

do NOT go to this salon for ANY type of nail service. Their nail technician paints nails like a 5 year old. Actually, a 5 year old might do a better job. DO NOT waste your time or money on this place. As I was getting my nails done the nail technician was talking badly about other clients who were unsatisfied with their gel manicures and were coming back to get them redone. The french manicure on my toes was done in a very sloppy way. When I asked her to redo the paint she said she didn't have time because another client was coming in. The gel manicure is full of streaks and now I have to waste the rest of my day going to another salon to get it done all over again. read more

I couldn't tell you how refreshing it is to find a high end salon that is affordable, and really nice. This salon is the epitome of immaculately ran small business. Today was my first visit, and I was there for a deluxe mani-pedi. Being in my last six weeks of pregnancy I was worried about being bothered by the smell of hair and nail chemicals, and being massaged in the wrong place. It is obvious as soon as you walk in the door that they use very high quality natural hair and nail produce as there was no offensive chemical smell. The pedicure basin was clean and looked immaculate, and very clean (an enamel basin). I sat in a very comfortable massage chair, and Carol offered me an eye mask. Wow can I not reccommend that mask more, it smelled like lemon grass and was cold which was very refreshing (my husband actually commented on if she gave me a facial because my eyes looked so good). I had a mint wrap with my pedicure and it made my lower calves and feet a dozen times softer. Previously I've struggled with cracked heels, and overall dry feet. My toes now look very beautiful and will look great when they next grace the stirrups lol. With my toes perfected I moved onto my manicure, which was just as relaxing, with a great sugar rub. Carol used a really gentle lotion that made my hands feel super soft. I've been the ashamed owner of obscenely damaged cuticles for months now, and thanks to her magic, I have beautifully maintained cuticles. Not once was I painfully jabbed, or was my skin cut, or were my nails cut at a painful angle. I actually didn't know my pedicure was over because she was so gentle I literally never felt her paint my toes. Between how friendly Carol was (which was super friendly) and the quality of her work, I could not reccommend this salon more. I will be returning at the end of this month to try Watsu, and I cannot wait. read more
