First time here and for sure will be back. So many interesting flavors it was hard to choose. The scoopers were friendly and didn't bat an eye at a little indecision in choosing our flavors. I went with the black sesame, a favorite of mine that I can't find at a lot of places. It was very good. I also really liked their take on matcha with a ribbon of strawberry jam. My wife got the raspberry sorbet and chocolate sorbet. The raspberry was one of the best I've tasted in a long time. With so many interesting flavors we will be back for sure. I have to also mention what a fun shop it is with its bright colorful tiles and bright yellow ice cream scoop display hanging from the ceiling. read more

The Town Center shopping area has the expected anchor tenants, and finishing touches that make it complete - a chocolate shop, bakery, bookstore, public library, and Always Summer contribute to make this a destination. Ice cream flavors are a mixture of classics, and things like cardamom and matcha, providing interest and not just oddball spices for the sake of quirkiness. As far as I can tell, Always Summer isn't part of a chain, but the look and feel of the space is very polished and coordinated. Between their merch display, and the forest of ice cream scoops hanging from the ceiling, the design aesthetic stands out. The people behind the counter were friendly and efficient, just what you would hope for in this type of establishment. read more

We were nearby for dinner and craving dessert when we came across this place, and I'm so glad we decided to try it. They even had a gulab jamun inspired ice cream, which really caught my attention. There were four of us, so we ordered a sundae with a brownie and two scoops of ice cream - it was generous and easily enough to share. It was my first time having a brownie served warm with ice cream, and I absolutely loved that touch. The fruit flavors were especially enjoyable, particularly the mango and banana chocolate chip. The cardamom flavor was a bit overpowering for my taste, but the mango was definitely a standout. The staff were incredibly patient and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted, all with a smile. Was at the Town Center and saw the sign for the Dubai Chocolate Sundae in the mall. It was a hot day so why not? The sundae is made with pistachio ice cream and chocolate sorbet, topped with pistachio sauce, chocolate sauce, pistachio pieces, chocolate chips, and shredded phyllo dough which surprisingly remained crisp even more than halfway through the sundae. Despite all that, the sundae was lighter than I expected, not dense or heavy which was nice. Price was a bit ka-ching!at $16 but it was my special treat. Staff told me the ice creams are locally formulated and made and there is a diverse array of flavors such as ube and honey saffron. I like how the flavor signage gives ideas of how to pair/use the different flavors. I totally forgot to take a pic of my sundae before eating so the sign that piqued my interest will have to do! I'm not up this way very often but will definitely check in when I do. read more

Cute little shop tucked inside Lake Forest Park Mall! Who says ice cream is only for summers? :P We stopped in while it was pouring outside, and my 8-year-old was a bit hesitant at first because the flavors were different from the usual offerings. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality. She finally chose the Banana Chocolate Chip, and it was incredibly fresh--she loved every bite! The person at the counter was so patient with my indecisive kid, which I really appreciated. We also tried the Honey Cardamom Latte, and it was amazing. They even pressed the cardamom right in front of us! Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth a visit. read more

I am so excited that Always Summer exists! The owners are fantastic, and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. Located in a nondescript strip mall in Lake Forest Park, Always Summer is a cozy little ice cream cafe that features a fun menu of ice cream flavors and coffee drinks. We didn't grab ice cream this time around, but did enjoy their: - Litchi Coconut Latte - Blueberry Cream Latte Shoutout to the cafe as well for not charging for non-dairy milk - woohoo! The guy working at the shop was also very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to share a little bit about the background of the cafe. I'm always taken back by the lack of ice cream shops out there, It's an essential part of summer, Enter Always Summer, lovely I cream shop that serves sweet and cool treats. To be fair, the ice cream and gelato selection is darn tasty, and portions are solid; so that's a check.. what makes this place, the hook, is the atmosphere and ambiance. The bright orange and yellow hues, the decor make your mind wonder, as if it is "always summer". It makes everything, the experience so much more enjoyable. Add that, they have some very lovely and customer service oriented staff, means you are getting the full package of joy. This is evident by the line out the door of people just looking to get a darn tasty treat. Their menu has everything from Ice Creams, to coffee, which means it doesn't have to be summer to enjoy something here. Do I recommend? Yes, it's a fantastic little shop. We went to the Lake Forest Park Farmer's Market today, and after enjoying that, we strolled over to Always Summer for some ice cream. It had been recommended to me by a friend. They have some more standard flavors, but they also had some more unusual ones. I saw one with matcha, and there was lemon basil (sorbet, I believe). I had the lavender lemonade, and oh my goodness!, was it good. There was a gentle note of lavender and then the sweet lemon, and it was very creamy. While it was rich, it wasn't overwhelmingly so -- just right. My husband had a chocolate-banana crepe and enjoyed that a lot too. I highly recommend this place! read more

I did an icecream tour of Seattle (based off of the list on The Infatuation) and Always Summer was the winner (for me). I loved their unique mix of flavors they offered and the literal icecream struck the right balance of smooth. It felt akin to a high value premiere brand like Jenis in their quality. read more

We visited and tried their Pistachio Cream and Vanilla ice cream flavors! So, so good! Not too sweet, but nicely decadent! Will definitely come back to try more of their flavors and chai drinks ASAP! New find in lake Forest Park! This ice cream shop just opened in March 2025. The decor is colorful and caters to kids with furniture sized fot little humans. They have the regular flavors but also a variety of really interesting ones with an Indian twist - like the gulab jamun sundae. They also have masala chai - a personal favorite. My kids had the cotton candy and chocolate ice cream and loved it. We will be back to try the others! read more

Wanted to treat my kids and went to this new ice cream shop, it's adorable! The place is beautiful. My son tried (and loved) the strawberry ice cream and my daughter and I shared the pistachio which was amazing. They also have espresso specials and I tried the cortado bon bon which is made with condensed milk and it was spectacular, really creamy! The service was amazing and the place was immaculately clean. I hope they do great, I'm sure as soon as the farmer's market opens for the season they'll be super busy. read more

Awesome ice cream shop in the Lake Forest Park Town Center! Shout out to the staff who are very friendly and generously offer samples of everything. I had the guava sorbet which was refreshing on a hot summer day, and everyone else in my group enjoyed their ice cream selections. Only bummer is they were out of the cardamom pistachio that everyone is raving about, so we'll definitely need to go back to try more of the flavors! read more

I was going to just stop by at the grocery store and I saw their sign and thought this little store that I haven't seen before. I tried a few flavors and the cardamom pistachio was my favorite, but ended up ordering the special: Dubai sundae and the citrus mocha latte. Both were delicious! The Sunday was ~$12.50 and the specialty latte (16oz) was ~$7 (based on memory and no extra charge for oat milk. The seating area was nicely designed and cozy to enjoy the sweet treat in. read more

We love always Summer Ice cream, we come in maybe twice every 2 weeks. My four-year-old loves to try the different flavors.But every single time she always gets chocolate, sprinkles on any of them I work for Safeway, so it's just convenient to go there after work.I just bought a gift card for my daughters Fourth birthday in the the staff that helped me was so sweet. There's also a young guy That works there and every time me and my daughter come in if she gets a Ice cream and I choose an ice cream After we walk out the door my daughter tells me she wants mine so he always thinks it's funny that she picks her own butt ends up with mine. I love this little shop. Great spot read more

Cardamom latte and lichi coconut latte. They do a really great job balancing out the flavors so it isn't too sweet and melts really well into the latte. All the small merchandise they sell are so thoughtful and high quality. I'm eyeing their teapot because they are so cute! read more

NOTE: I am about to launch into a tangent on Japan vs US soft serve and will put a convenient border around this if you just want to hear about Mammatus (understandably) ======================================================= Ever since my last trip to Japan I've felt soft serve is just disrespectfully bad here in the states compared to the quality and care they put into it in Japan, and I'm sure there's a lot of layers of that from bad soft serve powder suppliers and a culture of growing up with this stuff so many spots chase the nostalgia factor both on the business side and for customers. But this simply must stop. Japan experiments with using milk from different cow varietals and farms, even mixing types and using milk from other animals (goat mostly) to find the best flavor as their base. But they don't even stop there, experimenting with the texture itself to create an extra dimension to the experience. Textures reminiscent of marshmallow, italian meringue, semifreddo and everything in between. Ultimately I think in the US soft serve has a history of being centered around a scalable, consistent, cheap product. And that persists to this day. While in Japan soft serve is often treated more like a specialty food crafted with artisanal and premium care. OK back to your regularly scheduled program. ======================================================== After trying just about every soft serve around Seattle I felt hopeless I'd find something that felt like a premium product reminiscent of the masterful varieties I found across Japan. So thank god for Mammatus finally showing the people what SOFT SERVE CAN REALLY DO! Folks, this is the best soft serve I'd had around the Seattle region bar none. Milk Drunk is a fun spot to get some fried chicken and cool seasonal soft serves that are certainly satisfying, and while I think pastry project may be the best bakery around these parts the soft serve they're slinging is sadly subpar (though the best hard shell variety in the biz). Baiten is great but oh man, for the soft serve lovers out there you simply must must make it down (up?) to Mammatus for the most velvety, creamy, perfect amount of sweetness soft serve you can get round these parts with a weekly rotating flavor and fun sundae varieties to try. They offer the classic chocolate hard shell but that's all you're getting here. Just be patient as they're not the fastest around but it's absolutely worth it even if you need to wait. Trust me! MAMMATUS IS A MAMMAMUST!
