On January 25, 2017, I contacted his (Calhoun) office in desperate need of an immediate appointment. After speaking with Tabitha and providing an overview of my father's conditions, she expedited the preliminaries and my father had a doctor's appointment within the hour. {Prior to contacting his office, I was hopeless and helpless because I was denied an appointment/treatment by the Glenwood Medical Network, even though my father was an established patient of record and recently treated in their office 48 hours prior. His symptoms had worsen and their staff didn't care while they boldly expressed no compassion nor propose suggestions for emergency appointments nor advocate the doctor/nurse call back or follow- up. After the visit, I left with peace and assurance that my father's conditions would be properly diagnosed and his conditions will be monitored. Most importantly, we received a follow-up appointment to ensure a root-cause findings were properly identified through appropriate testing. In addition, his staff contacted me via phone w/in 48 hours to provide the results of all testing. In fact, they confirmed that I had registered and enrolled in the patient's portal to receive results electronically, as well. More than anything else, it is important to note that Dr. Motoyer welcomed me to contact his office immediately if my father's condition worsen before his follow-up visit. From this conclusion, no one should feel as if they are a nuisance when you are being treated or under the care of a medical physician. In short, it is with sincere patient GRATEFULNESS, that I recommend Dr. Kenneth Metoyer Jr as the PREFERRED physician of choice to be the gatekeeper of all your medical care. Said they put her on a list to get her in ASAP before going back to college. 2 months go by and come to find out they never even made her an appointment and couldn't get us a referral to anyone in Baton Rouge. We waited patiently and made numerous calls explaining the urgency in having her see someone before college started. After 2 months of waiting and following their protocol of having to see one of the counselors before the MD will see them, I am extremely disappointed in their system and service.
