One of the few halal Texan BBQ spots in the area. We did takeout, so not sure about the service. Did the medium family order: 4 pounds of meat, 3 large sides. We tried brisket, beef ribs, and beef sausage. Sides were potato salad, creamed corn, and mac and cheese. Came with complimentary bread, pickles, and onions. The price was a hefty $140, but between 6 people, it came to about $23 per person, so I think that's pretty fair for Texan BBQ. Of the 3 meats, beef sausage was my fav, it had jalapenos in it and had quite the kick! The beef ribs, while not winning any awards, were good as well. My only criticism is that it amounted to 3 beef ribs, so we had to split each rib between 2 people. The brisket was supposed to be a mix of moist and lean with some burnt ends, but it leaned mostly lean. I would've liked more of the juicy cuts, and I didn't see any real burnt ends. It was decent, but I've had better. For my fam who only eats halal meat and hasn't had other Texan BBQ, they loved each and every piece of meat, so overall it was a great success. Everything was seasoned really well, and nothing was dried out. The sides were all really impressive. Everyone loved the creamed corn and potato salad. The mac and cheese here was better than at some other, more well known BBQ joints in the Austin area. I wish I'd read some of these reviews prior to ordering, I would have tried some of the lamb items that seem to have some fans. That'll be for next time. Even if you're not looking specifically for halal options, I think it holds its own among other BBQ joints in the greater Austin area in this tier.

I was craving BBQ, but was my craving get fulfilled? The service was friendly and there was a bit of a line. However my wait was not very long. There is no waitress, you order at the counter. Even though I didn't get the quail, I'm glad they had it on the menu. I got the brisket with green beans and BBQ beans. My sides were okay. The sides needed more love. The brisket was good, but I wish it was a little more juicy. Overall the flavor was fine . I can see myself coming back for the quail.

Great food- just the right amount of r of portion sizes - fast service Halal certified

It's been a while since I did a review and a couple of months since I've been by to eat or get food to go. Nothing has changed !!! It's still a very solid BBQ place where EVERYTHING is delicious !!!! Great service, great atmosphere, great food !!! Tell em that the Texas Pond Bass Master (my you tube channel) sent you !!!!

This barbecue restaurant sits in a short strip center which includes a nail salon, liquor store, bake shop, and physical therapy. I was going to get the barbecue trifecta, but they do not serve St. Louis or baby back ribs. As many yelpers have pointed out, this is Halal, so no pork ribs. I got here on a Sunday around one, and there was only 4 people total in the restaurant, which means you probably never have to worry about standing in a line out the door baking in the sun like some places. The good: The brisket had a good smoke ring with a crust and was done right. The sliced turkey was very tender with just the right amount of seasoning. I like the fact that everything was wrapped separately with the pickles, onions, bread and barbecue sauce included. However, I did not get any utensils or napkins. The"OK": I got the half chicken and at first glance, it was so small I thought they gave me a quarter of chicken. At least this small bird was fairly tender, somewhat moist and well smoked. Nonetheless, it was still kind of disappointing. The sausage was firm, yet dryish with a nice jalapeño spiciness, but it was the size of a long hotdog. The only real turn off was their overly sweet pudding-like barbecue sauce. Overall what I purchased sits around the 3 1/2 to 4 star range, but they lose a half a star for their sauce. And finally, yes, the tip screen will be waiting for you. I didn't bother with any of their sides. I'll let everyone else talk about those. It's the meat that gets you through the door, not the sides. I hear their beef ribs are good. You can bring your own beer (BYOB approved) and wine here since they don't sell it. They do have water and soft drinks. It's a place I would try again. Check out the informative photos below. 31/2*

One word: lamb. Lamb ribs, lamb sausage, jalapeño cheddar lamb sausage. I don't know anyone else in Austin doing lamb sausage. It's amazing.... such a great flavor! Halal BBQ done right!

Great environment and very hospitable crew, I got the 1/4 Brisket Sandwich, Cream Corn and drink for 2. The brisket was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the sweet and smoky notes of the barbecue sauce. The cream corn was a delightful side, rich and creamy, adding a comforting touch to the meal. As I enjoyed my food, the staff frequently checked in to ensure everything was to my liking, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a satisfying meal that left me eager to return and try more of their delicious offerings.

Have you eaten bbq that is so great that you forget to take pictures of the food before you eat it. This happened to me today!? I went to the Gold's gym holiday party where Alzer's was served (brisket, sausage and turkey with green beans, Mac and cheese, beans, potato salad, and cream corn). All the bbq was flavorful and super moist. I'm a devout non-beef eater! The brisket was visually appealing so, I got lured into trying it. OMG it was good, I had seconds! The turkey was a convergence of moist and flavorful. The sausage was just ok. Note, to the sides - cream corn (buttery sweet), Mac n cheese (soft and oooy gooey God), beans (sweet and tangy) potato salad (real potatoe creamy explosion) & green beans (crunchy). Since I was at a holiday party no service was rendered. The price was great...free!! We ate at the gum so only sweat vibes. I definitely try Alzer's on another occasion.

Moist brisket, turkey, potato salad, and green chili, white cheddar mac & cheese !

I went here today for the first time. I ordered several different things. I ordered moist brisket, smoked turkey, a half chicken, quail, potato, salad, and green chili, white cheddar macaroni. Overall, I was very impressed with everything. The food was Excellent ! Definitely five stars hands-down !!!!! Definitely a must try !

Great service and the best brisket in my life! The brisket just falls apart on your fork. I liked it when General Manager checks on you to see if it is good. Definitely going back on a weekly basis while I'm in town.

This photo was taken at the front of the restaurant and you can see how clean it and that there's ample seating.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here. He had the half rack of lamb and creamed corn. I had 1/3 brisket plate and Mac and cheese. I like my brisket moist and I was not disappointed! My husband never had lamb before and he said the smoked flavor was excellent. The creamed corn was good with enough seasoning to make it different from other creamed corn. The Mac and cheese was velvety smooth. The pickles on the side gave a nice crunch and a little sharpness that enhanced the meal.

It appears you don't need to have a Michelin star to make great BBQ. Alzer's brisket is extremely tender and juicy! Their beans are not the typical beans many restaurants serve; not overly spicy, but full of flavor. The service is prompt and friendly. Definitely on my list for BBQ!

I placed an online order, and when we got it home, my husband's burger was missing the tomato and lettuce that was on the order. The may seem like not a big deal, but since he doesn't like cheese, and he doesn't like sauce, except mustard, so the lettuce and tomato are basically what keeps this from being a plain burger on a bun. Since I don't live close, it's not like I can just run back up there. My husband said it was fine, but Mooyah is not a cheap burger. Ok, so whatever. But then I got an unsolicited texy survey from them asking for my feedback so I gave it. Shortly I received the attached text saying sorry and have a nice day. I really hadn't expected a response, but I would rather have had none than that weak reply. Like maybe offer a free fry in the app for my next visit, or $3 off the next order...that at least is a gesture that would bring me back to spend $30 again. Disappointing.

I do appreciate the option for Impossible dogs and burgers, though you'll have to order them without a bun and most toppings to keep it vegan. It seems like a neighborhood spot where the people are friendly and no one is judging if you need to start happy hour at 3pm. On that note though, it's a huge bummer that the happy hour deals got a major downgrade. Instead of all drinks being $5 flat, now it's just $3 off select cocktails and $2 off beer and wine. Since the Four Points location closed, I get it, they're clearly trying to cut back and improve margins. It's a fine deal but for the quality of cocktails, not really worth it anymore.

Lazy G BBQ Company in Cedar Park is exactly what it sounds like: lazy. For a BBQ joint in Texas,…read morewhere the standard is high, this place is embarrassingly bad. Rudy's BBQ should be the baseline, yet Lazy G doesn't even reach that. I ordered the ribs and brisket, hoping for something decent, but both were far below average. The brisket was especially disappointing--you could see the congealed fat right in the slices (see pictures). Serving meat at the right temperature is BBQ 101, and their failure here made the texture and flavor a cold, greasy mess. The sides weren't any better. The cucumber salad was bland, with just a dusting of dill and no seasoning whatsoever. Adding salt and vinegar should be a no-brainer, but apparently, even the basics were too much effort here. I was excited to try the smoked mushroom side (as a mushroom lover), but it was downright unpleasant. There was zero smokiness, and the sauce tasted like a watered-down BBQ sauce, giving the button mushrooms a soggy, unappetizing texture. The BBQ sauce was another letdown--it tasted like bottled Sweet Baby Ray's. For a BBQ place, using (or at least mimicking) store-bought sauce is the ultimate red flag that they just don't care. Even at $22 for a two-meat plate, the quality doesn't justify the price. In short, Lazy G BBQ Company doesn't just fall short--it doesn't even try. If their goal was to live up to their name, they succeeded; this food is lazy, uninspired, and, frankly, not worth your time or money.

The next morning he said, "I kept telling myself I need to leave a little bit more for Lee Lee but I kept opening it back up and eating more until it was all gone!" Good thing I had my bites right when we arrived at our hotel because I was so hungry. My husband ordered sliced brisket and we lucked out and got a few of the brisket burnt ends. They weren't all "candified" like a lot of the other bbq places serve; but they were smoky and delicious. I also enjoyed the potato salad. We were excited to order the smoked mushrooms but honestly, they could have used a bit more flavor for me. You could just tap the salt shaker and it would have been fine. I appreciated the creative side dish and love how the bbq scene has doubled down on the side hustle! It was cold out so we sat on the enclosed patio that had heaters and were very comfortable. As I was leaving the We Are Blood donor center on Bell Boulevard, I thought "why not check out a brewery I don't visit very often for lunch?" (kids, I am a professional. Don't try this at home--a brewery visit right after dropping a pint is probably not a donor center recommendation for most normal folks). A search on "breweries near me" revealed that this spot was 1 mile away. Winner. Plenty of parking front and side, the taproom was pleasant inside and out. I took a seat at a nearly full bar next to a good group of World Cup (ESP/AUT) watchers. Two big TVs over the bar, in a large taproom/dining area with 5 more, shared with the sort of "built-in food truck" called "600 Degrees Pizza" except it's a proper pizza shop, no wheels. There's a shaded outdoor patio with a bar window, and 5 more TVs, and a covered tent area beyond that, with a play area for the kiddos. Had a Ray Ray Hazy IPA, crisp and cold and delicious NE-style IPA. I walked over to the pizza counter and ordered a slice, considered the slice/salad lunch special but opted for the HH slice special, pepperoni at $5. Minutes later a guy delivered the single largest pizza slice I have ever tried to hold in my hand to my seat at the bar. Apparently they do a 6-cut TWENTY FOUR INCH PIE for slices, so my slice was 75.4 square inches of tasty gooey goodness. Unwieldy, and took some tactical consumption logistics calculation, but I finished every bit--a meal for me, and I was glad I skipped the salad. Very good pie, and VERY filling. One more small beer, from Jester King, as I watched Spain knock Austria out 3-0. Friendly folks on both sides of the bar, good beer, and good food in a nice taproom. I'll be back.
