However, once we went to my basement to look at the pipes, he sat on my workout bench and started using my weights without asking. Later, he sat on my sofa upstairs, again without permission. I also mentioned a bad experience my mother had with a previous contractor and simply asked if his work came with any type of guarantee. He took it the wrong way and became defensive. Later, his secretary called me about a payment plan, which I explained I would consider once I had the money ready. The next day, she called back saying the plumber decided not to do the work -- and shortly after, he texted me saying: "WHY WOULD YOU CALL A PLUMBER AND YOU HAVE NO MONEY WASTE OF TIMES." That message alone shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect. When I called the company to report it, the secretary defended his behavior instead of apologizing.
