The sales associate was warm and friendly and noticed bf's Cuban accent immediately. She asked us about our backgrounds (it is weird to some people to see an Asian girl speaking Spanish in a Cuban accent). Overall the concept is cool, but found that not all of it was actually made in Puerto Rico only designed by a Puerto Rican which sort of loses its charm for me. I'm happy to pay the bags that are 5x more expensive if they really are hand made in Puerto Rico but not sure why I'm paying that much if they're designing it and having it made else where?
