I am the executor and do not live in Amarillo. Using Google as a search, I found several highly recommended fence contractors. Popeye's Handyman Service was a member of this recommended group. Of the many I contacted, Popeye's Handyman Services and another were the only who actually returned my call or shows interest when discussing the damaged fence. Popeye's Handyman Service was the only one who could provide a legitimate business employer identification number. The other contractor didn't know what I was talking about and wanted 75% of a his provided estimate up front. The conversation stopped. Thadeus, the owner of Popeye's Handyman Service, was the first to come and look at the job. He took pictures and sent me the pictures. He then called and explained his recommendation to replace the complete fence. He quoted a reasonable price and a great time frame. We were kept informed of the progress via pictures taken a daily communication. There were some unexpected surprises when digging the new fence post. He and his team repaired and rerouted the buried French drain. They hauled off the found brick pieces and other construction debris left buried by the original building construction. Even a delay caused by a neighbor, he was still honoring his quoted price. My wife and I agreed Thadeus had gone outside the box and brought integrity and trust to the job site. He did not ask for any extra payment, but he was given extra compensation which he was reluctant to accept. Yes, we highly recommend Thadeus and his honesty, Christian beliefs and work ethics. They exceeded expectations. We wish him, his family and business successful chapters in their life.

Usually don't like Sunday afternoon since it's family time but needed the work done. Karlos never showed up. He never called, text, or contact me at all. Today he had the nerve to call and want to come and do the work. I told him forget it and please don't contact me again. Well he sent me a text after I asked him not to contact me. Karlos is a liar and not dependable. So much for trying to help hi.
