It's beautifully designed with a modern Mexican flair. The highlight was the taco salad. I still can't believe how large it was! This thing can easily be split for 2 if not even 4 people! Cosmopolitan has a variety of restaurants to choose from. Amaya proved yet again why all of them are great. Great decor and friendly service makes it even better. Main options on the menu so everyone has something to choose. My friends and I have. Rey different tastes so this was a great choice. Started off with the Mariscos el Fuego. Sizzling seafood app that had shrimp, scallops and more. It was swrved on the scallop shell which gave it that extra touch. For my main I got the carne asada. It was cooked great and the chimichurri sauce put it over the top. I wish it came with sides. I also got one of the margaritas which I forgot what it was called but it was a nice touch of blueberry. I've failed horribly at taking pictures of the food but i can't pass up on still giving them kudos for great food and atmosphere! Start off the location!! It's ok the second floor of the cosmo right near the escalator and the photo op chandelier that everyone loves. The hosts were amazing. Welcomed with a smile and confirmed our reservation. Politely let us know we couldn't bring our drinks in but let us know to finish them and let them know when we were ready! In no way did they rush us or tell us our table would be taken. They made the start or the night very pleasant. Once ready they sat us in the middle of the restaurant in a huge booth which i appreciate. I love having space to see everything. We shared a shrimp ceviche, skirt steak, rice and corn. Everything was cooked to perfection and although didnt look like enough for 2 was plenty. The ceviche has good slices of avocado and nice shrimp. The chips paired well with them. They steak was cooked to medium temp and good charr. Oh i had an octopussy cocktail. Not too sweet and just the right amount of liquor. The entertainment was worth the stay. I almost feared we would miss it since we arrive as they were finishing a set. But right when we were at the end of our meal they came out for another performance. I'm assuming it's an every hour thing. So much fun. I didn't have room for dessert. Regarding the Chips & Salsa, the salsa lacked significant flavor and was very mild. The chicken in the Tacos De Pollo was somewhat dry. The Enchiladas Suiza was average. I went to the restaurant for dinner on Friday night. They were running a little bit behind on reservations so we sat at the bar for 15 minutes. We were then seated at a lovely booth in the back. I started with the Agua de Vida to drink. I was surprised that this drink was bitter. It read like it was just gonna be a passionfruit margarita. For food, we got the Mexican Caesar salad salad, which was really good. I got the Carne Asada tacos. The meat was tender, and it came with a little side of beans and rice. My friend ordered the chicken enchiladas and said that the enchiladas were OK and there was not a lot of chicken in them. The vibes are beautiful. And about every hour, there's a show that includes dancers and fire dancers. It was a fun place. read more

Went to Amaya Modern Kitchen inside The Cosmopolitan with one of my colleagues for our business lunch. He was in town from California and he was staying there, so I agreed to meet him on the casino floor. Amaya was actually a backup choice for us. We originally aimed for Momofuku, but we realized that their bar area was closed (he likes to sit at the bar most of the time) and so we chose Amaya. This was our first business lunch since November 2025, so yeah, way overdue there lol. We were here at around noon on a Thursday and it wasn't busy inside at all. Taking a look at their drink menu, I ordered their Grapefruit & Sage Mimosa. A very unique thing about their cocktails is that their ice is circular and I liked that. I consider a mimosa to be a brunch kind of drink, but technically it was still brunch so I got this anyway. My colleague ordered white wine, I believe it was a Chardonnay. For food, alongside the complimentary chips and salsa we were given, I got the carne asada tacos and my colleague got the chicken empanadas. Both dishes had decent portions to them (not too big, not too small) and my tacos came with a small side of rice and beans. One issue that I had with the tacos, however, was that the meat was very chewy. Otherwise, the toppings and the beans/rice were really good and so were the chicken empanadas. This was a great restaurant to eat at and it's super easy to find on the second floor of the casino. read more

We came here on vacation and I'm really happy we tried Amaya in Las Vegas. I'm honestly looking forward to coming back the next time we're in town. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. Ambiance is easily 5 stars beautiful, sexy, dim, and really well-designed. Service was also 5 stars across the board. Reservations were easy to get, and we came on a Thursday around 6 p.m. The hostesses were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every single person at the front made us feel taken care of, and they were genuinely warm and sweet. Our server (I unfortunately forgot her name) was also very pleasant and attentive. For food, I'd rate it around 4 to 4.5 stars. We started with chips and salsa, which were excellent, and we also ordered guacamole. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, we also got shrimp tacos, and a chicken quesadilla for my son. The chips and salsa were honestly so good, I couldn't stop eating them. The fajitas were good, but the seasoning was okay. The chicken seemed a bit more like it was in a wet sauce rather than nicely grilled or seared, and I would've preferred it sliced a bit more cleanly. I also didn't love that rice and beans weren't included and had to be ordered separately. I ordered the side of rice and the portionwas quite large, and I think a small standard side of rice and beans should be included with fajitas. That said, everyone enjoyed their meals overall. I didn't get a chance to try the drinks, but I definitely will next time. All in all, it's a beautiful restaurant with great service and a strong menu. We visited Amaya on the 2nd Floor of the Cosmopolitan on Friday, June 19th at 7pm with a reservation. This was definitely a five star experience, and this was our first time at this restaurant. We were greeted, checked in and taken to our table within minutes. The dining room is gorgeous. It is dark, classy, elegant and comfortable. Yes, you can have all of those adjectives in one place! Our server was wonderful this evening. He was timely on everything and him and the team made everything run smoothly. For dinner we started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious; however, we also decided to order and add the guacamole. The guacamole was definitely among the top tier of guac that I have had. We then shared an appetizer of the Mariscos Al Fuego. As the name implies, the dish came out on fire and it was a delicious combination of shrimp and scallops in a lovely lemon butter mixture. It was very savory and very delicious. We then shared the Birria Short Rib. Although this was very delicious, we almost felt it tasted like mole sauce, and we were a bit confused about if we actually got what we ordered. Nonetheless, no reason to inquire, as we still loved it. No dessert tonight; however, we loved our experience here. There was even a show around 8pm involving a lot of music, dancing and fire. We recently visited Amaya during our trip to Las Vegas and overall had a great experience. For our appetizer, we ordered the shrimp aguachile. Unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. As someone who enjoys aguachile, this version tasted very little like a traditional aguachile and was overwhelmed by greens. It just wasn't for us, and we ended up sending it back. That said, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. I ordered the surf and turf, and it was absolutely fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly, the seafood was flavorful, and the entire dish was well executed. It was easily the highlight of the meal. For dessert, we tried the flan and the churro tree. The flan was a little different from what I'm used to, but it was rich, creamy, and very enjoyable. The churro tree was also delicious, especially paired with the strawberry-guava sauce, which added the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. I'd definitely recommend giving Amaya a try, especially if you're looking for a nice dinner spot in Las Vegas. read more

When we showed up the night of we were sat in the back room with 2 large parties Our table was by the walkway where it was a tight space where servers & guests kept passing by so I mentioned to the manager in my rsvp I noted I would've loved a booth - he said he didn't see any note of that so when I found my open table rsvp I went over to share or with the hosts and one of them said they don't really go by requested tables so that was never guaranteed. So to be honest they weren't really accommodating. The table we were at like I mentioned wasn't what I was expecting, the lighting was too dark, it was just awkward. The food: The Chips & Salsa were good My friends said their Tortilla Soup was great The Birria Taco Plate one of them said the Consume wasn't that flavorful The Shrimp Ceviche I got was good but I ended up getting an allergic reaction to this plate. ( I love seafood & have never ever experienced an allergic reaction like this this before) Drinks: Unfortunately 4 out of 5 of my friends that got drinks said they were not good, they were way to strong not in a good way, 1 way too bitter and another overwhelming with some kind of spice. Sadly, we had a reservation at 11 and probably didn't get seated until about 11:20. We were a party of 6. This place is so cutely decorated. They were even great for females where they had these little coat/purse racks that sat besides your table. Our waitress was great. Super friendly. Sadly I'm just giving this place 3 stars since the food and drink were just ok. I got the chicken chilaquiles that's on their brunch menu. Also just got a regular house margarita that was ok. The restaurant has a very modern aesthetic with strong Tulum vibes, which made the whole experience feel upscale yet welcoming. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time. We started with the Mariscos al Fuego, which are offered as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious. Honestly, they were one of my favorite dishes from the entire trip. I ordered the Birria Short Rib, and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone. It paired perfectly with the corn purée, pickled onions, and cotija cheese. The Chilaquiles was a big portion of food that I did not expect. I had to pay $18 to add steak so just keep that in mind if you're trying to add any protein. Even the appetizer took probably 25 mins. Then another 25 mins later, the food finally came out. The overall feeling at the table was that the food was good. The carne asada was a decent portion, but came with no sides for about $60. The shrimp enchiladas were good. The tuna tostada was by far the worst thing on the table -- very little taste and very little tuna. Fajitas with chicken were a good portion. Homemade guac was okay. A vegan option was available on the brunch menu, and one of our party enjoyed it. The taco salad is UNBELIEVABLY large. It's not easy to impress me when it comes to Mexican food, and this modern take on it really did. The cordial staff greets you with crispy chips and salsa right out of the gate. We had the shrimp enchiladas, cooked in a savory guajillo cream sauce and topped with avocado, but the real star of the show was the charred octopus. They serve the entire octopus on top of chorizo, potatoes, and white beans. It's marinated in guajillo chile so it stays tender, and the char gives it a deliciously smoky finish. We wrapped up a more-than-satisfying meal in the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with the flan, which had a nice hint of orange that set it apar, though I'd call it just good rather than great, so I'll try a different dessert next time. While staying in Vegas, I decided to check out Amaya Restaurant for a girls night. The concept, design and ambiance are beautiful. Larger than expected too! Service was great, I think our lovely server was Liliana (I may have it wrong but she was great). We ordered the taco salad with chicken, the portion is huge!! It could easily serve two, so we split it. Everything was seasoned well, tasted fresh down to the tostada shell. I don't drink but the mocktail was good too! I had the El Niño mocktail, loved. This restaurant is on my top list of favorites in the city. Located on the second level of The Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's right across from Marquee Nightclub. Like many have mentioned, the ambiance transport you to Tulum. On weekends after 8pm, the vibes come to life with a live DJ playing deep house mix and fire dancers roaming around the restaurant. Their chips & salsa are complimentary here. This automatically deserves 4 stars right off the bat. Because honestly, very few Mexican restaurants on The Strip give you chips & salsa without being charged $8.00+. Between the two of us, we ordered the Aguachile as our appetizer. And then we shared the birria tacos, carne asada (meat dish, not the tacos) and chicken taquitos. Everything was flavorful. I read a few reviews mentioning bland food items. Well...those people must have high blood pressure from probably over salting their food. NOTHING HERE IS BLAND. Cocktail menu is a plenty and I'm happy to see a few mocktail options as well. The portions were also much larger than I expected, which was nice considering it is on the pricier side. The restaurant itself has a gorgeous atmosphere and feels very upscale, so it's definitely somewhere that works well for a special occasion. Unfortunately, the service put a damper on our experience. Toward the end of our meal, our waitress asked my mom and me to leave our table because our "reservation time was up", which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a more welcoming experience, especially when you're paying to enjoy not only the food but also the atmosphere and service. Overall, I think Amaya is worth checking out for the ambiance, presentation, and generous portions, but the prices are definitely on the higher side and our service experience was disappointing. She said it was going to be over an hour wait even though it was clearly not packed and there was no line but we were hungry and this place looked really good so we put our name down. Lo and behold we got a text after 10 minutes and got one of the many available seats I saw while waiting. We got the steak rice and guacamole with our chips. Amaya is a very nice Mexican restaurant located on second floor of the dining area in The Cosmopolitan. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time on OpenTable. The exterior has an eye-catching striped wood pattern that wraps around the side and to the front. It is open on the side and gives a view into the bar area. The interior is gorgeous with a lot of wood, plants, and very unique chandeliers. It feels kind of tropical, and has a trendy upscale vibe. After being seated, we were greeted by our server who also brought complementary chips and salsa. We also ordered the guacamole ($18). The chips were very good and slightly thicker than your average chip. The salsa had nice flavor with a little smokiness. The guacamole is served in a heavy stone bowl with sliced radish and herbs on top. It is a generous portion and tasted great. I ordered the Carajillo cocktail (Licor 43, Frangelico, Amaro Montenegro, Rosemary & Carrot Infused Foam, $21). Call me naive, but I didn't know this was a coffee cocktail. The cocktail menu omits cold brew espresso as an ingredient. My naivety was a good thing because it was very good and I probably would have not ordered it if I saw the coldbrew. This had the most epic foam top of any cocktail I've ever had. The foam was very thick and creamy with a large amount. It had its own flavor and really mellowed out the coldbrew along with the other liquors. For my entrée, I had the shrimp enchiladas ($39). The plate is served with three smaller than average sized enchiladas with a fair amount of shrimp. There are avocado and red jalapeno slices on top. I prefer green sauce on my shrimp enchiladas, and didn't realize that this plate came with a red sauce. It was good, but for the size and price, I wouldn't get it again. She had the crispy avocado tacos ($24). The plate comes with two tacos and a side of salsa. She said they were very good and very filling. She was stuffed after eating both. It was very kind of our server to bring a complementary dessert for my birthday. It was a small lava cake with ice cream, fruit, and a caramel-cinnamon drizzle. They had a football game on so we (I) were able to dine and take in the game. There were other dining areas for a more intimate experience, but I think we (I) lucked out! I have come to the conclusion that Mexican restaurants on the Strip will have refined food, but lack the character and heat of restaurants off the strip. I wonder if Mexican (and other) restaurants should have spice levels for dishes like they do for hot chicken. I didn't ask, but I think they used chipotle in the dark salsa and the chips were thick but crisp-excellent...but I would have liked a little more spice. We like to share our dishes so we started with the hamachi ceviche. It looked more like aguachiles I have had at other restaurants. The fish was cut like sashimi with slices of cucumber, citrus, cilantro, etc., but some sliced jalapeño would have put it over the top. We did like it very much anyway. The grilled octopus was good, but way too big for 2 people. It comes whole-a little intimidating! Chicken mole was mild with a hint of sweetness. but again no spice. That was served with a cilantro rice that I thought I wasn't going to like, but did. The side of beans was perfect. Service was quick. The margaritas we ordered were good, but they don't blend them. The food came at about the same time as the cocktails making both less enjoyable. All in all a pleasant evening at a restaurant that I would visit again to try other dishes. read more

We decided to give this place a try after seeing their $55 prix fixe menu, and honestly, it was a great deal. The portions were very generous. The chips and salsa were a perfect way to start the meal, and the drinks were tasty, strong, and well made. The chicken taquitos with guacamole are a must. Crispy, flavorful, and gone way too fast. The steak fajitas were another standout, served hot with plenty of food to share. My only small complaint was the flour tortillas. They did not seem very fresh and became hard pretty quickly. Aside from that, everything was great. The service was on point, the food was filling, and the prices felt fair for the amount you get.
