This caught my eye when I was passing by it and the cosmopolitan hotel. I did not know that the food was gonna taste as good. The octopus appetizer is to die for although it's a whopping $40. The ambience is super cute inside they did amazing Vegas style job decorating. Service is impeccable as expected, and the tacos were just OK. Bottomless chips and chipotle salsa for the win!!!

We recently visited Amaya during our trip to Las Vegas and overall had a great experience. For our appetizer, we ordered the shrimp aguachile. Unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. As someone who enjoys aguachile, this version tasted very little like a traditional aguachile and was overwhelmed by greens. It just wasn't for us, and we ended up sending it back. That said, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. I ordered the surf and turf, and it was absolutely fantastic. The steak was cooked perfectly, the seafood was flavorful, and the entire dish was well executed. It was easily the highlight of the meal. For dessert, we tried the flan and the churro tree. The flan was a little different from what I'm used to, but it was rich, creamy, and very enjoyable. The churro tree was also delicious, especially paired with the strawberry-guava sauce, which added the perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. I'd definitely recommend giving Amaya a try, especially if you're looking for a nice dinner spot in Las Vegas.

Yum! This modern Mexican restaurant is on point! Stopped in for the lunch special and tuna tostada. Sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and brought everything out efficiently. The chips and salsa are complimentary and they were fresh and authentic. Ordered the shrimp taco lunch special ($19) and it was so worth it. Been looking for a place that has better service/food than Javier's and definitely found it! Will definitely be returning

I was not really a fan of the host. She said it was going to be over an hour wait even though it was clearly not packed and there was no line but we were hungry and this place looked really good so we put our name down. Lo and behold we got a text after 10 minutes and got one of the many available seats I saw while waiting. We got the steak rice and guacamole with our chips. It was a really satisfying meal to end our first night there.

We visited Amaya on the 2nd Floor of the Cosmopolitan on Friday, June 19th at 7pm with a reservation. This was definitely a five star experience, and this was our first time at this restaurant. We were greeted, checked in and taken to our table within minutes. The dining room is gorgeous. It is dark, classy, elegant and comfortable. Yes, you can have all of those adjectives in one place! Our server was wonderful this evening. He was timely on everything and him and the team made everything run smoothly. For dinner we started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious; however, we also decided to order and add the guacamole. The guacamole was definitely among the top tier of guac that I have had. We then shared an appetizer of the Mariscos Al Fuego. As the name implies, the dish came out on fire and it was a delicious combination of shrimp and scallops in a lovely lemon butter mixture. It was very savory and very delicious. We then shared the Birria Short Rib. Although this was very delicious, we almost felt it tasted like mole sauce, and we were a bit confused about if we actually got what we ordered. Nonetheless, no reason to inquire, as we still loved it. No dessert tonight; however, we loved our experience here. There was even a show around 8pm involving a lot of music, dancing and fire. A 5 out of 5 experience.

We came here on vacation and I'm really happy we tried Amaya in Las Vegas. I'm honestly looking forward to coming back the next time we're in town. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. Ambiance is easily 5 stars beautiful, sexy, dim, and really well-designed. Service was also 5 stars across the board. Reservations were easy to get, and we came on a Thursday around 6 p.m. The hostesses were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every single person at the front made us feel taken care of, and they were genuinely warm and sweet. Our server (I unfortunately forgot her name) was also very pleasant and attentive. For food, I'd rate it around 4 to 4.5 stars. We started with chips and salsa, which were excellent, and we also ordered guacamole. For mains, I had the chicken fajitas, we also got shrimp tacos, and a chicken quesadilla for my son. The chips and salsa were honestly so good, I couldn't stop eating them. The fajitas were good, but the seasoning was okay. The chicken seemed a bit more like it was in a wet sauce rather than nicely grilled or seared, and I would've preferred it sliced a bit more cleanly. I also didn't love that rice and beans weren't included and had to be ordered separately. I ordered the side of rice and the portionwas quite large, and I think a small standard side of rice and beans should be included with fajitas. That said, everyone enjoyed their meals overall. I didn't get a chance to try the drinks, but I definitely will next time. All in all, it's a beautiful restaurant with great service and a strong menu. I would absolutely come back and recommend it, especially for the atmosphere and overall experience.

Review over Service, Accommodations, Food + Drinks & Mention my allergic reaction to one of their plates. As a Las Vegas Local with Friends from out of town. I was really excited to choose Amaya on 6/20/26 for my friends visiting to celebrate my birthday. I raved about the show they had, the aesthetic, food, drinks etc. Well after making reservations weeks in advance I shared a note to restaurant it was a Birthday Celebration & requested a booth. When we showed up the night of we were sat in the back room with 2 large parties Our table was by the walkway where it was a tight space where servers & guests kept passing by so I mentioned to the manager in my rsvp I noted I would've loved a booth - he said he didn't see any note of that so when I found my open table rsvp I went over to share or with the hosts and one of them said they don't really go by requested tables so that was never guaranteed. So to be honest they weren't really accommodating. The table we were at like I mentioned wasn't what I was expecting, the lighting was too dark, it was just awkward. The food: The Chips & Salsa were good My friends said their Tortilla Soup was great The Birria Taco Plate one of them said the Consume wasn't that flavorful The Shrimp Ceviche I got was good but I ended up getting an allergic reaction to this plate. ( I love seafood & have never ever experienced an allergic reaction like this this before) Drinks: Unfortunately 4 out of 5 of my friends that got drinks said they were not good, they were way to strong not in a good way, 1 way too bitter and another overwhelming with some kind of spice. Overall it wasn't the best experience, as a Las Vegas local I love to make sure we all have a great time have some good food, drinks and overall experience for others to brag about & want to come back to them but unfortunately I wouldn't come back to Amaya with a big group, to celebrate anything or for dinner.

Dining area is beautiful and lively. Many celebrations happened around us - birthdays, bachelorette parties - and each time the servers led them in a conga line around the center with sparklers and drums. During dinner, performers danced with batons of fire - it was something else. The food was good, the charred octopus was the highlight but my shrimp entree was overdone. Dining here is more about the atmosphere than it is the food so that's something to keep in mind.

Come here for the ambiance. It's dimly lit inside and a live fire show will come as part of the dinner experience. Welcome chips and salsa were great and probably the highlight of their food which was otherwise just decent. It was definitely not bad but nothing necessarily noteworthy especially compared to some other upscale Mexican spots on the strip. This is an important consideration considering their menu prices. Great place to come for vibes with friends, but consider something else if you're looking for truly memorable food or are wary about their cost.

Amaya Modern Mexican is fairly new, and wow -- this place is amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the service was phenomenal. The restaurant has a very modern aesthetic with strong Tulum vibes, which made the whole experience feel upscale yet welcoming. The food was some of the best I've had in a long time. We started with the Mariscos al Fuego, which are offered as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious. Honestly, they were one of my favorite dishes from the entire trip. I ordered the Birria Short Rib, and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender it literally fell off the bone. It paired perfectly with the corn purée, pickled onions, and cotija cheese. Highly recommended. My sister ordered the Shrimp Enchiladas, and I got to try those as well -- the guajillo cream sauce was an amazing touch. I'm telling you, if heaven serves food, this would be the menu. I'm definitely adding Amaya Modern Mexican to my list every time I'm in Vegas!

Came here for dinner before our BTS concert as we were staying at the Cosmo. This is a beautiful restaurant. Loved the dim lighting and wood accents giving the restaurant a modern feel with warm elements. Food was delicious too - I ordered a flank steak which was perfectly cooked rare (the way I like it) and paired with a chimichurri sauce. My friends ordered fajitas and enchiladas, which looked amazing too. Our cocktails were on point. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall had a great experience here and would love to come back!

Tucked in the upper level of the Cosmopolitan, Amaya teleports you to Tulum. The ambiance (fire show included), the service, and food were all phenomenal. My friend and I shared a few bites to share and highly recommend the following: Guacamole: 9.5/10 Chicken Empenadas: bite size and perfection, 10/10 Quesabirria tacos: divine. 9.5/10 Mexican street corn: 9/10 The complimentary salsa was also delicious. Highly recommend.

It's not easy to impress me when it comes to Mexican food, and this modern take on it really did. The cordial staff greets you with crispy chips and salsa right out of the gate. We had the shrimp enchiladas, cooked in a savory guajillo cream sauce and topped with avocado, but the real star of the show was the charred octopus. They serve the entire octopus on top of chorizo, potatoes, and white beans. It's marinated in guajillo chile so it stays tender, and the char gives it a deliciously smoky finish. We wrapped up a more-than-satisfying meal in the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with the flan, which had a nice hint of orange that set it apar, though I'd call it just good rather than great, so I'll try a different dessert next time. Fair prices for the Strip, about $110 for two without alcohol, with generous portions.

I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!

Here you will pay for chips and salsa. I did...and it was probably my favorite thing I ate. The chips were fresh, really crispy, perfectly salty. The salsas...I had both the traditional and the hotter one...they were super tasty. I usually can tell what kind of place this is going to be by their chips and salsa and we were already off to a really good start. This place is mostly tacos, but there were chilaquiles, ceviche, and taquitos too. I opted for Mama's Taco. These were three crispy tacos with ground beef, lettuce, and cheese served with rice and beans. I'm not sure why I went for that option, but it was a good choice. Tacos were really crispy. Beef was well-seasoned and, really, tasted like I made them at home. Rice and beans were tasty. I prefer more creamy refried beans but these were more soupy, whole beans. Still tasty. Was it the best I've ever had? Probably not. I did enjoy it. I would go back...especially for the chips and salsa. I might try something not so safe next time. Maybe that's were I went wrong.
