Asked for a quote. They showed up and my wife and I really like the person we talked to when she came to our house. She said she would get us an estimate and could start the installation in a few weeks. After that we were ghosted. We attempted to get ahold of the person that was supposed to get our estimate. Robert, the owner, was always responsive to either voice calls or texts. The workers did an incredible job working under either extreme heat and humidity, or with the constant interruptions and delays caused by thunderstorms (it was during an historic monsoon season); they even left the project area cleaner and better looking than when they first showed up. The finished project was exactly what my wife and I had envisioned. Any time I go looking for home services, I'm constantly baffled by how so many companies stay in business when they simply don't pick up the phone, return calls, or even show up to a scheduled appointment. This is even the case with some of the biggest shops in town. I'm a contractor myself, and I couldn't even imagine that. This was not the case with Robert at Amazing Scapes, though, as he answered the first time I called. I sent an email with drawings of what I wanted done and he promptly provided me with an estimate. After agreeing to the initial estimate, he came out and we discussed the project on site. He made some suggestions about the layout of things and his suggestions were much better than what I had in mind. The part that blew me away was that his plan actually ended up saving me a considerable amount of money - the opposite of an anticipated upsell. I of course accepted the revised, lower cost estimate without hesitation and he was able to get me scheduled quickly. The work was done without a single hiccup in exactly the amount of time he quoted and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. His crews were great and the pride in their work was obvious. Their support from Jerry (who runs the field crews) also made clear how much they care. We used Amazing Scapes back in the spring to take our very large backyard from xeroscape to oasis. Since it got hot quickly after completion, we didn't get to use it much and so our review waited until we could actually get out there to truly enjoy. And enjoying we are! Love the desert landscaping, the turf, the pavers, all of it. There were a couple extra things to be added which Robert connected us with contractors. We are extremely happy and will be contacting them in the next couple of years to upgrade our front yard. read more
