LGCY is a Scam…read more In 2022 a salesman of LGCY Solar Panels came and presented to my wife and I the idea of purchasing solar panels through his company. He told us several things that he said would benefit us by getting the panels. He told us that within a year we would have no electric bill and that the only money that we would be paying would be for the loan we took out for the panel. He also told us that when we sold our house that the new owner would take over the loan for whatever we had left over to pay. Neither of those things have been true. Two years after we have purchased the panels we still have an eclectic bill as well as the loan payment. In fact we were told by another LGCY representative that we didn't have enough panels for us to get our electric bill fully covered (he also tried to get us to buy more panels). The first salesman also forgot to tell us that with the ONCOR "Electric Delivery Charges" the credit we would receive would be basically wiped out and therefore any benefit the panels would give us is gone. In regards to our loan being taken over if we were to sell our house it seems that was a lie as well. From what my wife and I have seen, if we sell our house we would either have to 1. Keep paying the loan or 2. Include the loan in the price of the house in order to pay it off. My wife and I feel that LGCY Solar Panels were not completely up front and essentially lied in order to get us to buy the panels. If we would have known what we know now we would have not brought the panels. DONT BUY THEM. ITS A SCAM.

Leasing didn't make any sense to me so I purchased the system. With their solar loan program interest was 2.99% for 10 years. No money out-of-pocket either. The cost of the system is being paid for by a combination of the tax credit (the government's gift to me) and what I'm paying to TU Electric currently. The small difference in what I'm paying is to the billing company (MP2), but that rate is no higher than the one I had with TU Electric. As to their professionalism, I can't say enough here either. Everybody was polite and respectful. I felt no pressure during the process and I was offered all types of assistance in maneuvering through the electronic paperwork process. The sales people were always there to answer question and still are, even after the installation was completed. The system was installed last Friday. The installers were right on time. The crew leader introduced himself to me and then introduced his entire crew to me by name. They even offered me some of the breakfast they brought along. I watched the entire installation and asked questions and took photos along the way. They were quick to explain what and why they were doing things. They installed the free Nest thermostat which was difficult due to the wiring configuration of my dual stage heat pump. But they got it right and it also works flawlessly. They cleaned up and were gone...other than the panels on the roof, the inverter and emergency shut off near the meter, you wouldn't have even known they were there. I'm sorry to hear that some of the reviews are less than favorable, but truthfully my experience with SolarCity was completely the opposite. It was one of the most professional and satisfying experiences I've ever had with any kind of contractor. To me how they conduct themselves should be a model for others to emulate.

The phone and website all refer you to articles. The app has no way to contact support. The Tesla dealer can only send an email and the Tesla energy location is now closed. Why would anyone trust the brand Tesla with this level of service. Sure glad I never purchased their cars. You cannot contact Tesla energy via phone, app, Chat or email. Ridiculous lack of customer support.

YIKES!! Long story summarized, turns out a previous roof job (thanks to the ice storm of the century) done by another company a few weeks prior to this installation was done horribly rushed and incorrect (sloppy is more accurate). Given leaks appeared immediately after this install I naturally assumed it was Daylight Rangers fault. After calling Peter and informing him of the leak he immediately showed up to assess.
