Proceeded to look at the menu, when the food arrived it was clear it was very expensive for small portions. The waitress didn't seem to know anything about the menu and had to call the manager over. Half my meal arrived within 5 minutes of ordering so it was clearly just reheated. It was taken back until 10 mins later my full meal arrived - obviously reheated for a second time. The portions were small for the prices charged. The dosa was pleasant enough. The Channa Masala is amongst the worst I have ever tasted, and had the most repugnant aftertaste - it tasted like a ready meal prepared days in advance and left to stagnate. I had to drink glasses of water to wash it down. The lemonade was grossly overpriced and served luke warm in a small grubby glass. When I had paid my excessive bill of £20 (I was aghast at the £2.50 service charge!!), I asked for the bathrooms, the staff were clearly disinterested once I'd paid my dues and I was vaguely told "downstairs". There were no signposts upstairs or downstairs for the toilet and when you did find it, you were almost walking into the kitchen as it was right beside the kitchen door, the bathroom was clearly used by the kitchen staff as it was dirty (and had a urinal beside the sink), and I couldn't wait to get out of there. As for the wraps/sandwiches, there are basically two choices: the Lebanese wrap (a plain flat-bread wrap) or the Moroccan wrap (a flat-bread with spinach inside). Once you've made this difficult choice, you have to make more choices...you can fill your wrap with salads (such as tabbouleh), spreads (such as humous) and meats (such as spicy chicken or merguez). But, if you don't want to choose, you might as well order two kinds of wraps as the prices of one is very reasonable. Later, you may want to top it all off with a nice baklava, which you might even get for free if you're really nice. In fact, speaking of nice, the service here is super-friendly. Everyone is very polite and they bring your food to the table... After your lunch (or whatever you've had) you should go check out their supermarket...you will basically find here anything you need. My only disappointment was with the samosa's we ordered, which were lovely but at 2.50 for two small samosas- a little overpriced. Everything else seemed well-priced and portioned though. The atmosphere is really nice and there's plenty of seatings - big community tables, small tables and high-tables that allow you to look out of the window. The pastries and freshly baked goods are spread all over the counter in neat arrangements. Most of the cakes are displayed at the window and really make passerbyers salivate. The place is also family friendly with a change table across the toilet and toys around the eating area. On my first visit, I had one of the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The eggs benedict was a decent portion size and satisfying on a cold winter day. The day right after I couldn't help but go there again and had a generously filled smoked salmon crepe filled with cream cheese. Definitely will make this a local fav of mine!
