The do have rooms for haircuts, manicures, pedicures and some other spa stuff. When I lived here in the 80's there were 4 or 5 steam baths in downtown. I tried other places around the city, other than the very serious Sauna Mund on the east end, this is the only place I go.

Not only is this a great beauty salon to get your haircut and any other beauty need such as nails or waxing but they rock at styling. The hair dressers specialize in creating spectacular hair dos for important events - but especially known by many for their work with brides and bridal parties. They did my friends wedding as well as the wedding party and we were amazed! As soon as we walked in they made sure we had a place to sit and were offered all different types of treats to assure we were comfortable and having a good time. We were even allowed to open up a bottle of champagne to enjoy while getting our hair done. The bride got her hair done with an amazing braid and flowers intermittently place - absolutely beautiful! I think they are especially good at achieving the hairstyles you only see in fashion magazines. Another great thing about this salon is that if you are unhappy with any look (hey, sometimes it happens) you have 7 days to say you weren't happy and get another hairstyle done. If you want to come with a group of friends like we did, make sure to call and reserve in advance as this hip salon gets booked fast! It is not cheap but definitely worth it for special events.

The salon is located on a corner in the busy downtown of the commune of Providencia. The entire facade of the salon is glass so you can see the street. The owner sits at the front desk. She is not bad, but she could smile more and be a little friendlier! I had the same nail technician do my nails both times (not by request). But I was happy with her service and her friendly attitude the first time, so I am glad I had her again. My nails looked great both times. I asked her how long she had been working there because she looks so young, but apparently she has been there 2 years. I love that they use an electric callous-shaver on your feet. I have My one complaint is that (to my surprise) they charged me the same price for my manicure as my pedicure. I got a foot soak, lotion massage, and callous shave with my pedicure and not even a soak with my manicure, so I am confused as to why it costs just as much. This is the first time I have ever seen a salon charge the same price for a manicure as a pedicure. The price was reasonable and no one gave me a hard time about paying with my credit card. I will definitely return (unless I find somewhere better or closer to me).

The salon is located in a beautiful historic building in the busy downtown of the commune of Providencia. For security reasons, the front door to the salon is locked and you have to be buzzed in (this is common in Chile). The owner who is also a stylist seemed very knowledgeable. They provide many different beauty services but specialize in hair color, I think. (That is what I got done.) They also seem to have a lot of business doing eyelash extensions, as I saw at least 2 different clients getting them while I was there. When I first didn't like the tone of my hair color, the particular stylist I had was not pleased and consulted the owner. (Or maybe that stylist just does not have the best bedside manner.) The owner came and fixed my hair color herself, demonstrating that she is an active, hands-on owner. The price was reasonable and exactly what they quoted me when I made my appointment, and no one gave me a hard time about paying with my credit card. I will definitely return but might try a different stylist.
