On our wedding day, she knew all the best photo spots at our venue and was able to get us a wide variety of photos for our couple's portraits. Myro did a fantastic job getting photos of all our guests during the cocktail hour. We had several guests compliment how friendly he was and how many people he captured. In the background leading up to our wedding day, the True Photography team helped put a photography timeline that aligned with our wedding coordinator's timeline. This helped ensure we got all the photos needed included first looks, couple's portraits, family portraits, etc. No special moment was missed by the team throughout the wedding. However, only one week before our wedding, we were assigned 'Anel,' whose work we had never seen. On our wedding day, the level of professionalism and quality of work was unacceptable: Lack of direction: There was little to no guidance on posing or lighting. The photographer made comments like, 'What was that?' or 'What's that face?' instead of providing constructive direction. Poor Technical Execution: Many family photos feature heavy, unflattering shade cast across faces. Across the entire collection, there is only one usable, direct shot of my husband and me facing the camera. Absenteeism: During the cocktail hour, which we hired the photographer to cover, the photographer was found sitting in the dressing room instead of actively taking candid photos of our guests. I actually had to seek out the photographer to initiate coverage of the event. Frankly, the final delivered collection lacked the quality and professional execution we would expect from a paid vendor. It felt like paying a friend to snap photos, not a professional with an understanding of lighting and composition. A further point of concern: not a single photo from our wedding has ever been featured on the company's website or social media. We anticipated a high level of work based on the company's advertised portfolio, and what we received fell far short of that professional standard.

My wife came across them on Yelp! and we hired them to do the photo and video shoot for my parents' 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Mind you, we hired them less than a month before the actual event. David and Jerome took the time to do a phone call with us and walk through the entire itinerary of the day from the ceremony at Mission San Diego through the entire reception at the Gaylord Pacific. I really enjoyed working with all of them. They were so kind, warm, and detail oriented. I can't say enough about Fate Studios and how they made this event a truly memorable event! I also pitched an idea to Jerome about doing an AI video of my parents, describing their love story and how they met 50 years ago in the Philippines. Jerome has years of experience as a filmmaker in the Philippines and has worked for one of their large TV networks there, so he's a pro. I was nervous that we wouldn't have enough time to take this video from start to finish, but Jerome assured me that he could deliver. We presented the surprise AI video to my parents after we showed their slide show and the crowd was truly mesmerized! Many of our guests told me that the AI video was an awesome concept. But let me say that David, Jerome, and their team were awesome! I feel as though I gained some friends for life. The second I met them in person it felt like I had known them for a long time. They also knew how to get my parents to take pictures. You know, once you get older the excitement for these kinds of things is not the same as when you first got married :). Our photo session was created to honor an incredible milestone - my Mom's 80th birthday. After my parents flew in from Dallas, we surprised her with an entire weekend of celebrations. The photographs preserve not just images, but the joy and love we shared during this once-in-a-lifetime celebration, ensuring these cherished memories will live on for generations to come. When planning this family photo session, I had a vision for photos that would serve dual purposes - a Christmas card for our big family, but also a Christmas card for my Brother, Sis in Law and Luke and Rowan (my nephews). It was a "Gift to the entire family" as I saw it. I also envisioned my parents and family members turning the photos into a "statement piece" for our home (or my parents). The first thing that struck me with Amy was how easy it was to talk to her and how empathetic and personable she is. Additionally, Amy asks copious questions prior to the shoot...And these are VERY DETAILED questions. They ask things such as "What is your (childs) favorite color?" or "What gets them excited?" or "What are they into?" -- This all helps with the shoot and she comes prepared. Further, she asks questions about every family member. She asks every family member's name, relationship, "Gotchas", where they are from, etc. This shows and defines amy as showing genuine interest and empathy in her clients. It shows she cares. Implicitly. When she arrives, she calls everyone by name. She references familial relationships. She speaks with kindness. She is focused on keeping things moving and getting the best shot, but also very engaged in ensuring she connects with her audience. She makes sure everyone is being called by their name, that she captivates their attention, and is empathetic to someone in the group that might be having trouble.
