My friend dealt with a lady at the Newark branch once who got her a job with a really good company, the place were she was contracted to work was fantastic and she really enjoyed her work there, the help & support she got from this lady was really great, she was a lovely lass and was helpful and supportive and just a nice person in general and I would have given this review 5 stars for her BUT unfortunately she went off on maternity leave just after my friend started her job and was replaced with someone far far less capable and caring, the replacement gave an awful lot of promises and failed to deliver on anything they said, there was a few of them contracted by Ambitions Personnel at this company and they all said the same about this girl and how appalling her support was and how little she cared about the staff, in the end got so sick of the lack of professionalism and the rubbish that had to be endured by this hopeless woman she reluctantly left the job for other employment, my friend has since been looking for alternative work and has applied and emailed her C.V through to Ambitions Personnel in Grantham and Newark branches on countless occasions and on the odd occasion has been promised to be called back but is STILL waiting for the phone call which is SO unprofessional and can only assume is a possible attempt to block her job seeking with the company and she so upset I felt I had to write this review, I think the Director(s) need to look at who THEY are employing as people like that will give the company a bad name. Wouldn't advise you to work with this agency. They don't give a toss about their workers. But to get any old jack and harry to fill up positions to please their clients. I arrived at LONG CLAWSON at 8:00am. They kept me waiting until 10am to tell me i was at the wrong site. (Clearly Ambitions Nottingham and their clients don't communicate effectively.) Waited for a taxi to take me to the other site. Carried out the work as told.(Mind you the supervisor was swearing every 10 minutes.) Pay day came, discovered I wasn't paid in FULL, not being paid for that entire day. Ambitions said because I was sent to the other site to work, I was not recorded. When i definitely clocked in and clocked out. I first called them on the 15th August 2014, still not solved. After about 5 reminders I called them again this morning. AMBITIONS ruled it off as "THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT." Got a new Job after 2 weeks. Thank God. read more

Whenever you come to them they doing nothing, sitting, not listening and calling only when they need something. If you need something (in my case changing address which was wrong because they made mistake) you got to visit them and ask many times, many weeks before they do what you were asking. They don't care about people, don't care about finding you a job, they don't care about they OWN work. Just sitting everyday a taking money for nothing. The best is yet to come 'couse when you get sick they will suggest that you're PRETENDING even when you have papers from doctor. Special warning for those who's English is not native language - they will use it and national stereotypes against you. If someone like to waste time on waiting for a call or want to work for people who ordering you to go to work in yours days off than it's great start. People who are incompetent and lazy.
