Every league is different, so it's worth trying a few if you don't like the first one you are in. The kickball is fun but it works really well when paired with the drinking games after. The most important thing is to find a league where the post-game bar is on a night where you can afford to drink and is easy to get home from (i.e. no driving necessary). A good post-game means it doesn't matter whether you are on a team that loses every game. There is a mix of players and some have played for a few years and understand the strategies and have experience, while others are just starting out. Signing up as a free agent is pretty random, so you can get placed on a completely new team or as filling out an established squad. Most people are generally friendly and welcoming (beer does that to you).

Team bonding is also a big one for Coach Dre, last season we went to a local food bank as a team & gave back to our community. It was great a great experience. Not only is this a wonderful place to train, the gym is fully equipped with a banquet room in the back portion of the facility so you're able to rent out the whole gym & throw a party! There's a full fridge, sink, 4 big tables & about 20 chairs. There's also an area where I was able to put a balloon arch for photos & a couch and more tables, so it can accommodate a big party. There's a speaker system that you can connect to & play your play list while the kids play basketball. I appreciate the nice clean restroom for my guests. I recently just rented the facility & threw my son his 12th birthday: 3 point shooting contest, 3 on 3, Knock Out, food, cake, and lots of laughs!! He had the best time ballin' with his friends. Then theres the coaching.. yikes, talk about not caring and just throwing the kids out there, no positions are given to these kids. "Find a guy" and guard them status. The practices are way too short to help the not so good players get better. If your child isn't too good then they will ride the bench every other quarter when its gametime. The attention to helping these kids get better just isnt there. If you're the coaches kid you get full time to play. Most coaches let their own kid pretty much run the show. They seem to always be the ball hogs, taking way too many shots! Missing enough to pull them out but that rarely ever happens. Guy running the league is as smug and cocky as they come. Its obvious a side hustle to supplement his income. 250$ per kid @ about 100 kids per session the guy is winning for sure! The cabanas were not held down by anything and it was a windy day, I almost got hit by the cabana flying. Maybe have them closed and when someone does purchase it is when you would open them up for the guest. I don't know if people really reserved any cabanas but a few were being used but closer to closing time so I don't think they really reserved them and people just sat there since it isn't getting checked in my opinion. I don't miss like that bathrooms are available in the front and back of the park. The front bathrooms in the check in area have lockers and showers. There is also a bathing suit spin dryer. It seems for the lockers that if you bring your own pad lock you can store your things if needed. It's great they allow you to bring in food but not in coolers but bagged food take out is ok. There is also food available for purchase in the back. Treats and desserts in the front middle of the water park. Parking is shared with the community building not close to the entrance. So for my disabled friends like me, we had to walk even from a disabled parking spot. The park does provide tables and chairs. The cement picnic tables in front are near the treats vendor store. I don't recall what type of tables are in the back near the food but there were more there and by the kid's splash pad area. I would like to return when the large slides are open but I call next year and find out till then.

The pool itself is divided into several section - beginners (3.5 to 4.5 feet max depth), diving, and for lap swimming. They have lifeguards everywhere and they do a fine job of maintaining order. The water temperature was perfect. Our 5yo son seems to have a natural inkling for water but he enjoyed the pool far more than the splash pad, which is also popular with young kids. I tried carrying him up on the water slide but he refused. Note: for taller folks, they have a pretty intense water spray on top of the slide that can blind you. Imagine max shower pressure right on your face, LOL! Other amenities are large locker and changing rooms with clean showers, small picnic areas for sun tanning or relaxing, and plenty of benches and tables to store your bags or snacks. They also have a vending machine for cold drinks. Definitely plan on returning when the pool opens up again (9/27/25 was the last day for the summer). A definite bargain at just over $20 for a family of three.

It costs $10 to get into the park, gates open at 8AM. There's a 12 mile hike, loops the site. And an 8 mile hike to the Summit (round trip). At the top there's a museum inside which has an exhibit and gift shop. I got a cute T-shirt for $18, they also had a showing of the history behind the summit and how it came to be. We saw a couple deers, baby coyote, various species of birds, lizards, and butterflies. During this time of year, majority of the trail was dead. I rarely saw any hikers, mostly bikers! Most visitors drove up to the summit for pictures and views. The hardest part was definitely going up to the summit! We cut our time by half on the way back down. It was steep, so we temple ran our way down. Really fun! I highly recommend going early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat. Not a beginner friendly hike! Challenging. Trails not shaded. Park rangers are very friendly. Maps are also provided at entrance.
