I went to a theatre like this in Seattle but they had a restaurant and bar attached so you could get drinks, apps, dinner or dessert delivered right to your seat at the time you specify. It was really cool and when I heard this theatre was being renovated I was excited to try it out. Now it doesn't have a bar/restaurant attached but has the usual expensive theatre concessions. It does have one of the fancy coke machines where you can have any flavor of any kind pretty much. The only thing I didn't like which I know some people do, is putting my own butter on the popcorn - I don't know! I always do too little or too much I wish my concession person would just do it for me still. Recently I went and when I asked for the soft pretzle bites, they needed 15mins so the guy at the concessions asked for my seat number and delivered them when they were ready! That was awesome. One thing missing from the theatre is a hide-a-way table at your chair, not a necessity just a convenience. Its especially a great place if you go to see a popular movie or a midnight movie because you can reserve your seat! No more waiting in line and trying to save seats!! We get there right when it starts and have no worries about finding a good seat since we already have them! This will be one of our top two movie theatres to go to. The other one probably beats it out just because it's closer to us and they email coupons as well as have popcorn/drink deals. read more

There is only one word for this theater... AMAZING!!! From the seats, to the soda, to the popcorn, its all just AMAZING!! I would never go to another theater. Even the new Regal Theater at East View Mall is no where near as good. They have a reward program that you can join for $10 a year, it gives you discounts on tickets and concessions. Once you spend $100, they give $10 free to use for either tickets for concessions. Once you start coming to this theater, you will get that first $100 very quickly! Hope, this is now the best mainstream theatre in Rochester. With their recent updates, the seating and sound is spectacular. I will agree with a few of the other reviewers that the behavior of other moviegoers is distracting. But kids (and adults) act terrible in public these days and there don't seem to be much in the way of manners when it comes to texting in the theatre. All you can do is sit close, let the sound overwhelm you, and let the kids sit behind you and text. That's not a fault of the theatre chain. It happens everywhere (just much less at The Little, thank God). I guess us old folks don't text that much. read more

I love this theatre but the lobby was filthy and two hours later after our movie it was still filthy. The theaters are gorgeous and seating is amazing with recliners and cup holders. You can even fold the seat divider up to cuddle during the movie. Price was about $11 for a non 3D film. read more

Awesome seats. Nothing like reclining back in oversized leather seats. Each contain two cup holders and the rows are large enough to allow people to walk through w/out bothering seated customers. The only complaint I have is that you have to reserve seats in advance and that sometimes means days in advance. They book up really quickly. Tip: have a party room. It would be a great place to have a kid's bday party. read more

There is no better movie theatre. I moved to webster last year, and this is my first experience at an AMC. From appearances, it appears to be a small local theatre for a small town, but of course, I was pleasantly surprised! The seating is phenomenal and roomy. Leather(probably pleather) recliners are just fantastic and assigned seating ahead of time on Fandango makes for the perfect experience. Only complaint is the 12$ cost for their members rewards. I grew up near a regal theatre and accumulated many rewards through their free system. 12$ seems a little steep and cost inefficient for once a month movie goers. Enjoy your experience! read more

I might be one of the only people in Rochester who doesn't think this theater is *amazing.* I won't dispute that it's shiny, new, convenient and full of cool perks - like serve-yourself butter on the popcorn, reclining seats and several ticket kiosks. But my hesitance to call this wonderful or ideal rests in the my very philosophy of what constitutes a movie theater. When I'm at the Webster theater, there is this sense that people feel like they are in their own living rooms. There's a loss of propriety. People feel like they can be messy and treat the furniture however they want. I know, I sound SO old-fashioned...but I don't personally think that lounging all over the place (and each other, from what I saw) in public is that "comfortable." If I want to dress in pajamas and take my shoes off and lie down while dribbling buttered popcorn and Sno-caps all over myself, I can easily do that on my couch at home. Or in bed. It's not that I don't want the movie-going experience to be comfortable, but somewhere in this quest for move-comfort, the sense of wonder and art associated with going to the "theater" was lost. It shouldn't just be someplace you can wipe your greasy hands and drop food all over the floor. I like the idea of reserving a seat online and the distance and size of the seats, but the seats are kind of a tacky faux leather red and are starting to look worn. The self serve communal areas are sticky and messy during peak hours, somewhat exemplary of the laissez-faire theme. Prices at this theater are steep - not for the movie tickets, but everything else. Overpriced snacks and drinks are the standard at Cineplexes across the country, I suppose. The screens aren't any larger than my other go-to theater at Tinseltown. I prefer the pared-down selections (in portion and price) at the Little Theatre. I guess I learned a bit about myself and my philosophies regarding movie-going by checking out the Webster Loews. Bigger to me isn't always better. And when I go see a movie, I do enjoy the "going out" aspect of it. I don't want to feel like I'm in my living room with my index finger on the remote control. Like basically everyone in Roc, we LOVE the renovation to this theater. The comfy reclining seats are AMAZING and it honestly makes us want to go to the movies more often, now that they almost have the same level of comfort as our couch. Because of these amazing seats (which are nicer & plusher than Regal Eastview's & Pittsford Plaza's - don't let anyone try to trick you into believing otherwise) we are AMC Stubs members - even though we live downtown and we must pass several closer theaters on the drive up to Webster. AMC Stubs requires us to pay $12/year (or $9 if you get the membership when they're running a discount) so that we can reserve our seats at this theater ahead of time at no charge online. You can have tickets sent to your phone so you can show your ticket's QR code in passbook and there's no printing them or waiting in line when you get there. You also get upgrades on popcorn (pay for a small, get a medium) with the Stubs account, as well as $10 off coupons that show up after you've spent a certain amount. With the changes they've made at this theater we often buy movie tickets days in advance with friends and can guarantee we'll all sit comfortably together for a prime Friday night timeslot. The popularity of this theater is easy to see - opening weekend movies are often sold out days before online. I feel bad that I'm not supporting more local enterprises, but this theater is so comfy that I almost don't go anywhere else, unless I'm seeing super indie films at The Little or Pittsford Plaza. We have already paid for our membership through 2016, so we'll obviously be back... read more

This is one of the coolest movie theaters I have ever been to. When you buy tickets, you buy them for assigned seating because every chair is an amazingly comfortable recliner. These seats greatly reduce the number of people that can fit into one theater, and they make the ticket prices a little more more expensive than another theater, but they are well worth it. Make sure to buy your tickets ahead of time (I recommend Fandango for online purchases) because there's no first come first served. Once a seat is picked, it's gone. read more

Since this theater was remodeled with the crazy comfy recliners, I haven't bothered seeing a movie anywhere else! There's not a bad seat in the entire building, the lines (when there are any) move quickly, and the bathrooms have always been clean and well-stocked. I especially love the pre-sale ticket buying, which eliminates the need to get there super early to get a good spot, since you choose your seats ahead of time. The whole process is super easy, and makes going to the movies relaxing and enjoyable! All of these things are great, but the reason I'm taking time to write a review is the fantastic customer service I received yesterday when I was there. I had purchased tickets to an 11:00 AM showing of The Last Jedi, but for some reason had 11:30 in my head. We showed up at 11:40, figuring we'd skip the previews...but by this point had missed a good chunk of the movie...waaahhh!!! All of this was 100% my fault, but the gentleman taking tickets suggested we wait for the 12 PM 3D showing instead, and another gentleman at the customer service desk made the switch for us with absolutely no hassle. They were very kind to accommodate us, and we really appreciated being able to see the full movie! Only theater I go to in Rochester. the recliners are amazingly comfortable and it helps when it's literally a mile from home. Fantastic that you can buy your tickets and pick your seat right from the app on your phone several days ahead. The only downside is "Church at the Movies".......be careful if you go to a matinee on Sunday morning....you could be stuck in the theater right next to it in the back and all you'll listen to is the band and the loud annoying racket coming from next door. 4 star's for that annoyance alone. read more

This was my first experience at this theater and I'm not going to go out of my way to come here again. The lobby was dirty, the concession stand was out of basic supplies (napkins), food was overpriced, and soda machine area was dirty. While the theater we were in was nice, it was cold and I wished I had a blanket. The ladies' room was pretty gross, and the hand dryer that is supposed to 'revolutionize' hand driers, had mold growing in the bottom of it. Overall I am not impressed. Nice try AMC, but your game needs to be stepped back up again. read more

The renovations at the AMC Loews have been dramatic. This makes this theater, which through the 80s and early 90s was greater Rochester's premier commercial theater, once again tops. The reclining seats are a fantastic and I like that they have sacrificed volume for comfort. I only have to make sure that I drink an espresso prior to going there because the seats are that comfortable. read more

It's not just that you have the best ever selection of soft drinks to choose from before you get inside, It's not because you have a short wait at the ticket counter, but once inside you are looking at instant comfort. This movie theater is a bit of a drive for us (40 min). However it's worth it. There are several theaters closer to me, but I tend to come here when possible. Staff are usually pleasant, bathrooms, and theaters very clean. Chairs are reclining and super comfortable. The screens and sound in each theater are great quality as well. Very nice renovation, this place looks spectacular now. Very hip and modern inside, the seating is second to none! I love the fact that they have expanded the concession stands menu. This theater requires reserved seating which is good and bad. It's good that when you buy your ticket you don't have to worry about if there are any seats in there for you and you know where your sitting. It's bad in the sense that you have to usually buy tickets way ahead of time, there are only about 50 seats in each theater so they tend to sell out very quickly! Also the prices are a bit higher than most theaters mostly because there is a small fee for reserved seating, a typical ticket costs approximately $12.50. But overall it's worth it, this place is amazing. read more

Everything about this theatre has improved! My personal favorite part? The coke machines. The cherry coke is made with real grenadine - I'm convinced because it's just soooo delicious! When me and my boyfriend come here to see a movie, he knows we're getting the Cherry Coke - no questions asked. The other thing I really enjoy is the fact that you can pre-order your tickets online and you can go to the kiosk to "self check-in". You don't have to speak with the ticket clerk or wait in the long line! Just go there and self check in, which prints out your tickets and go to see your movie :) The third thing is those seats! The update to this place is amazing. Ive been going here since I was a little kid and its awesome even today. The seats are great obviously, I just hope they last a while. I enjoy the fact that the seating is reserved, so there are not any awkward moments with strangers when trying to find a seat. I would have gave 5 stars but they are lacking an arcade and it seems like the self serve pop stations are always a mess. The seats are comfortable, reserving seats is great, etc etc etc, but both the men's and women's restrooms are filthy! A male companion complained about the men's room being just as bad, if not worse. There is usually a mess at peak times in the evenings, the stalls are full of clogged toilets and toilet paper strewn all over, it's disgusting. The sinks are littered with used paper towels, trash cans overflowing, there is water everywhere. The customers are to blame, I know, they are either unsupervised children or adult swine but the staff should be checking every 15-25 minutes, maybe post someone in there. I have always been happy with the service at the ticket counter and refreshment stand but this is a major drawback for me unless I go early in the day. read more
