I called Amedisys Hospice care for my Dad. They were kind and understanding and very prompt in coming out to my house for an evaluation. All the nurses and care givers were prompt and helpful. They gave me advice and help on dealing with difficult situations. I hope not but I would use them again as I can't say enough kind words. read more

Amedysis' services were mostly unacceptable. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They were called in by our mom's assisted living facility. We wish we had done a little research before we accepted this hospice group. Most of their nursing staff in a rush. Could not be bothered to give the family a little weekly summary report of our mother's declining condition even though we repeatedly ask. Main nurse abrupt and defensive toward family members. Now almost 2 weeks after our mom went to the hospital with a broken hip (she passed away 4 days ago), we still cannot get this shoddy outfit to come pick up all their equipment in her asst living room. Have notified them 3 or 4 times. DO NOT USE THIS HOSPICE PROVIDER! read more
