I would like to give this business 2 1/2 stars because I love Dr. Griffis. He's been great. If not for that, I would change optometrists. I've had 3 visits and experienced what I think are difficulties with the office help repeatedly. On my last visit, a month ago, Dr. Griffis told me they would call me when my contact lens came in. Fri., shortly after 9 am, I tried to call and got a recording. Well, it's not an emergency, so; I try again this morning, right after 9, and get the recording again. My husband asks me if I am being scammed. I tell him this business is many years old and I try again in the afternoon. After several questions, the receptionist tells me that my contact lens has not been ordered. I will need to pay the $1,000 balance first. When I ask her doesn't she think someone should have told me that a month ago, she says she hasn't been there a month. I want to add that I have paid each time I was told there was a balance due. I live a little way out; so, my husband says he will go and pay Wed. Maybe I'll have my contact lens in a month or so. Maybe not. The one thing I am sure of is their office probably won't call. Months ago, they called and left a message (I didn't get but found out a week later when I questioned why it was taking so long) maybe should have told me to expect what I am getting. Of course, I assumed it was a one time fluke. I'm 62 yrs. old; so, I have enough life experience to know that things can go wrong. The fact that it keeps happening makes me want to warn others. I'm happy to feel that the doctor provides good care. If you diligently follow up and don't mind feeling like you are bothering the receptionist, this may be the right place. I plan to hang in there for a while. read more
