Hello to all Customers contacting American Handyman in Paris. I was shocked at the beyond exorbitant first price asked for by the handyman of E350.00 to change the refridgerator door mounting pins from the right side to the left side of the refrigerator. I asked him to leave multiple times. He thought he should be paid E50 for coming to the apartment. I said no I wouldn't pay that because I had asked about his fees on our telephone call. He said he couldn't say because he had to see the job. He left but, forgot his briefcase. I called to tell him but, his phone was in the briefcase. He returned and said he could do it forE50.00. I thought that was a fair price so we agreed. He completed the work in less then 45 minutes. His original time for the appointment was between 10:00-11:00 he arrived at 4pm. He did call but, basically I waited all day for his arrival. Get an agreement on price up front or don't hirer him. read more

I moved to Paris in January and have needed a lot of work done around my apartment to move in, and have really struggled to find the ideal handyman service. After working with other individuals, and Lulu Dans Ma Rue (who apparently doesn't respond to emails in August), I found the American Handyman in Paris company. This handyman company is the most responsive, reliable and service-oriented I have used in Paris. They are literally always available via phone or email, and adept at pretty much everything you would need done at your apartment. I first hired them on a Saturday morning to install and antique chandelier (with old wiring!) and hang a bunch of artwork and mirrors, and they did it perfectly. When he was completed, he went above and beyond by bringing me the perfect light bulbs that I needed for the chandelier, as I didn't have any at my house. Of course, it helps that the handyman they sent spoke perfect English, so I could give clear direction. Five stars, highly recommend! read more
