Sad end to a good company. AHP was my CPAP Supplies provider for 6 months. They had wonderful, helpful staff. Sadly, they were acquired in early 2016 by Lincare, and it's all over. 1. The only notice I got of the changeover was a phone call from an unknown number, leaving a curt message that I needed to call about my CPAP supplies. I ignored it at first, assuming it was a scam, When I finally called, the response was first phonemail hell, followed by a rude customer service person. 2. When I called Medicare about the status of my account with AHP they told me that the company had not billed them for either my supplies or my machine rental in 3 months! Needless to say I ran screaming to find a new supplier! I'm now with Verus, also a Medicare approved supplier, and so far they've been excellent. I would warn anyone I know to avoid both American Home Patient and Lincare. read more

This is a stellar company. Staff are helpful and friendly, and they set me up with oxygen perfectly and at a reasonable price. I would recommend any day. Update: (06/2016) After using their services and having an impossible time getting them to pick up the equipment. They decided now to bill me for an extra two months. I cancelled after the original one month period, I called and told them to pick it up. They never showed nor did they call. I called another three times within a two month period and finally they showed up out of the blue with no call to confirm I'd be there. Now I get a bill stating they charged me for two extra months when it was THEIR fault for not picking up equipment in a timely manner. I would NOT recommend them, seems like they have the old head up arse. read more

From the very beginning this has been the most difficult company to work with and getting supplies from them is never accurate nor timely. They were to put me on an automatic "refill" schedule and Yet they don't call to confirm as require by my insurance. Their website does not facilitate ordering so you have to physically call. I am actively looking for another supplier that takes my insurance. read more

I must tell the world! I order my CPAP supplies from them (home office not the local one) and not once has it been correct. They pad the order with things I never ordered. I'm wondering if it's Medicare Fraud. They last order was 6 weeks late getting here. Today I received an order I was desperately waiting for because I am having breathing problems with my CPAP. It finally got her and the mask was NOT the one I ordered. It will not work! The lady took my order put the correct one down as she repeated it to me. More than likely they had this one in stock end not the one I ordered so they conveniently (for them) sent that one. They also threw in an extra hose that I didn't order I guess so they could hosé the Govt! Again. Last order they put about 5 extra items in my order. Never again. I'll buy my mask out of pocket. I've had nothing but holy hell with this company. They are totally incompetent. read more

My bad experience just keeps on going I was told by several employees today that I would be receiving my nebulizer today and it is now 8:41pm and I just received a call from the on call technician who informed that the office did not give him the order or the equipment this morning as I was told yesterday by the office representative named Amanda. I was informed by Wendy in the main office here in San Antonio at 12:28 that the order had gone out this morning with the delivery man. I feel the patient at least deserves the respect to not be lied to. He informed me that they called him back to the office to pick it up after 5pm. I am going to still accept delivery as I do need the equipment but I will be calling my insurance to see what we can do about terminating the contract and going with someone else as soon as possible without me having to do without the nebulizer. read more

This company has the absolute worst customer service. Called them today since I never received my most recent order. After talking to 4 different representatives I learned they had no record of any orders. However my insurance company shows claims filed and paid within the last 60 days. None of their reps seemed to want to help me but rather just wanted to pass me off. read more

I must tell the world! I normally do no do this but it is well worth my time. I traveled to San Antonio, TX. which is about 300 miles from my home. When I arrived at 3:00 AM. on at Saturday morning I discovered I had forgotten the cord to.my CPAP machine. I have got to where.I can most sleep without the.machine. I called the customer support.line to expect no one would answer. At best I expected them to tell me their office would open Monday. I was shocked when someone answered the phone and then really shocked when they said they would call out a technician. Soon I got a call from the local technician and he asked.me about.my machine and then went into his office to get a new cord. He found one and then brought it to my hotel for me. Remember this is around 3:30 AM! I offered him a tip and he refused. I aasked how much I needed to pay him for cord and he said to return it to my local office when I get back home. I ordered CPAP supplies through my doctor from American Home Patient. I chose them when I changed medical supply companies due to my existing company, Lincare, provided atrocious customer service when I changed over to Medicare. Lincare told me they did not make enough money on Medicare patients so they didn't care about me as a patient (true statement, told me right to my face). In Oct, my doctor sent the new prescription to American Home Patient for a CPAP machine and supplies. A person from American Home Patient called a week later and said it would take about a month. Three and half months later I had not heard anything and called them ( my old machine worked so I wasn't concerned). They said my prescription needed some more information from the doctor. I asked why they hadn't call the doctor when they received the prescription and the lady said she had to check on it and would get back to me on Monday after the weekend. Of course complete silence, they never called me back. When I called back today they said the order was cancelled because they didn't get the information from Doctor. By the way, I called my doctor who said the information had been sent to them in November. It is obvious customer service at American Home Patient is not just bad, it is non-existent! Stay away from both Lincare and American Home Patient as medical supply companies as they don't care about their patients, especially if you are on Medicare. If I could give American Home Patient less than one star I would, they deserve that kind of rating! read more
