Quiet, serene setting truly transports one away from the hustle and bustle. We needed the break from tourist-filled Frankenmuth and we're surprised refuge was just a 20-minute drive away. Ahhhhh...great respite. Would have appreciated a few more benches to be able to sit and soak in the ambience. Plus a handout map....digital was great but cell service can be spotty. Add a list with pics of some wildlife to view would be helpful as well. Appreciate the park rangers hard work in keeping such a safe haven for wildlife. Expect to need a car wash afterwards...dirt road. But we'll worth it! Free admission (thanks). Donor box? We'd gladly support your cause

The only downsides were that I left my library card at home and asked if my ID would work. She then insisted on issuing me a new card instead of me just driving home to grab it. It is a smaller location, so the selection isn't totally there. I will say that I have never really had to wait in line so that's always great.

I arrived 10 minutes early, so at my appointment time, I was already being assisted at a window. The associate was kind, and very detailed. I was in and out in 14 minutes. After two hours I came back and all the employees I had seen earlier appeared to be at lunch because there was only one poor girl calling people up to the window and they were ALL reserved appointments. A lady sitting next to me sighed that her number was next to be called; it had been for the last 45 minutes. If you have time to wait around, you're better off driving to St. Charles. They do get the job done once you are actually helped and get processes going fairly quick. Just make an appointment online and make sure you specify all the stuff you need to get done so you don't get everyone else's time pushed back.

Libraries must not be quiet anymore…read more I was having some work done on my home and so I decided to stop here since I wouldn't have power for a while. I stopped in, spoke to the librarian and obtained a card. I asked him how to get to a desk that was upstairs and he told me. He also told me that there is another area that I could go to if I wanted a more quit area to work from, and I told him I was ok. But boy oh boy. It was really loud. Phones ringing and people talking on the phone in there. I honestly thought that I was being punked. I will go to another location next time.

I love libraries and this one reminded me how much I miss visiting them. What is better than a…read morelibrary? A CASTLE library! Beautiful inside and out, this library makes it easy for your imagination to soar. The staff was so gracious. They are probably used to visitors being amazed by the library. Watching two extremely excited grown adults trying not to run, point and exclaim over is probably normal. (We managed to keep quiet: it's a library!) Please, PLEASE treat yourself and any children you know to this amazing place of learning and imagination!
