Great place to come hang out with friends. Real laid back atmosphere. Always fun to play darts and enjoy some pool.

She jumps into the arms of her teacher and my other daughter, 4, also has her own special relationships with the staff as well. The excitement and amount of learning both of my kids demonstrate when they come home is well worth it!!! TRUST ME, YOUR KIDS WILL BE WELL TAKEN CARE OF AND EDUCATED WHILE HERE!!! Ms. Liz and Tanisha are the best of the best!!!

This is not a typical "Y." There are two parts to this great facility: Child Development Center…read moreand lodging, and it's all about assisting military Families. It's another "hidden gem" of El Paso. The Armed Services YMCA of El Paso is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in El Paso that is solely devoted to helping military personnel and the Families by providing innovative and quality social, educational, and recreational programs. The Armed Services YMCA of El Paso was established in 1921 with the mission to enhance the lives of junior enlisted service members and their families. The ASYMCA of El Paso strongly believes all service members and their Families deserve support, enrichment and recognition. Our mission is geared towards the military members and Families of Fort Bliss, White Sands Missile Range and Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico who need our support. I've been staying in this facility for the purpose of extended-stay lodging, and it's been totally wonderful. My room is well equipped and extremely comfortable with king-sized bed with great sleep quality. There's a shared kitchen and movie room. If you want to have some BBQ, a grill is made available for the hotel guests. I believe you have to be a military member or retiree to be able to stay here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating starting from the director to the cleaning staff. They will bend over backwards to help you out if you need their help.

It has that smell. You know, that smell where you think to yourself, "This is where clothes come to…read moredie." But here you are to save the day and pick out some threads that will be re-purposed or simply thrown into a washing machine with a loving amount of Tide until the memories of being lost on a rack are washed away. It's a Salvation Army so no matter what, you can't be mad at it. But my frustration sometimes seeps into my visits here and makes me end them more abruptly than I originally intended. Not because the items...for lack of better word...suck, just because it tends to feel over-picked, like if I had just came the day before I would've found a treasure. When you walk in, you follow the yellow-ish, linoleum road. And upon it you will come across sweet, little ladies (sometimes men, but for this story, ladies) that will guide you on your adventure...although, you can get a lay of the land immediately upon entering. In the vast majority of TSA you will find clothing. Clothing of all sizes, colors and styles. You really do have to look through every single item to see if there is anything worth salvaging (which is where my frustration comes in). I would love if TSA would showcase some of their best items...even if it's not for you, it gives you hope. On front end of the store you'll find furniture and records and other do-dads. I've perused the records multiple times and the section doesn't appear to change out that often so options are limited. TSA could have a good scrub down and tweak a few things here and there, but if you have time to spare and really want to find that on shirt or material that's evaded you, TSA might be worth a look. And of course if you want to save a dollar or two (or ten), prices here are beyond reasonable.
