The house is new with all of the necessary facilities to accommodate ppl with disabilities. There is also a wing of guest rooms oriented at immunosuppressed guests. The house offers many services other than just lodging. 1 chef prepared meal/day, access to 24 grab and go food, indoor play and recreation areas and shuttle services to and from hospitals. There is also access to tickets to local attractions like zoo, city museum, magic house etc. The facility is beautiful, welcoming and an emotional shelter for ppl going thru the trauma of a sick child. I work as a volunteer at the reception desk a couple times/month but have been involved with the house since 1985 in one way or another!

Volunteers and staff are wonderful! Please read their website list of what they accept for donations. They have limited storage space so they are more particular about what they accept. They do offer a tax receipt, if needed. As of mid-December 2025, they are most in need of men's small clothing and winter wear for everyone, including coats, glove, scarfs, etc.

They have two buildings you can enter and it wasn't explicit where to go but it's not a huge space to navigate. I took the 102 class and overall i enjoyed it. They gave all the materials, had sewing machines for you to use and the space itself is spacious.
