They helped me through all the red tape that makes using VA benefits sometimes overwhelming. They pushed everything as quickly as was possible, and all of this was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband and I made the huge mistake of picking up one of his pamphlets at our local VA office and it was the biggest mistake we made. Jeff Vance is incompetent. He lied to us, our realtor, the seller's realtor and he cancelled the closing of our new home three times due to his incompetence. We applied for our VHA loan on July 18, 2018 and on September 24, 2018 Jeff Vance was STILL demanding paperwork from us and would not approve our loan or agree to the closing date of our phone. We sent him over 50 pages of documentation that he requested from us, and he still refused to give us loan approval. In addition, we caught him in numerous lies. After 2 months of getting nothing but excuses, lies and delays from Jeff Vance, we decided to apply with another lender. We were approved in 4 days, and we closed on our new home 9 days later. Our new lender told us that he could not understand or find any reason for the delay in our loan approval. We were so grateful to our new lender. He is the reason we are residing in our new home today. When we finally did close on our new home, we learned more interesting information at the closing table. Everyone there had complaints about Jeff Vance's lack of professionalism, and his incompetence. Because of Jeff Vance's incompetence we almost lost our new home. We were very fortunate that the seller was patient and understanding after we explained what had happened to us. So please, learn from our experience. We learned that there are bad VA lenders out there. There are lenders out there who do not serve Veterans. They advertise that they do, but they do not know what they are doing. That is what Ohio Home Finance did to us. They do not know what they are doing. If you are a Veteran and need a home loan. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH OHIO HOME FINANCE in Mccomb, Ohio.
