We had a backed up kitchen drain. Called and they came out the same day. The technician was Ryan and he was very courteous and was careful moving his equipment through the house. The clog wasn't just under the sink. It was much farther down the pipe located in the basement. I was pleasantly surprised when my doorbell rang at 9:30 and there he stood. It's not often that happens. After showing him where the pipe was he brought the gigantic drain snake in. I can honestly say, I am not sure I would recommend them. We had a sewer back up around Feb of 2020. We called America Sewer based upon the recommendation of a family member. They came out as promised the next morning to snake the drain. They did exactly that and stated that it was warranties for 1 year. After a few months (May 2020), we had a water back up again. This time due to rain. Come to find out, they didn't cap the access port and didn't snake the line fully. I called back on the warranty and they claim they "can't find my account." Of course, I am trying to move and have cleaned out all of the papers that didn't matter anymore. So now they want to be paid in full again for work they didn't do the first time. After becoming a home owner, I used American Sewer Cleaners a few times. If I wrote the review earlier, I would have given them five stars, however the last time I used them, Chuck came. I would give Chuck a one star. Granted he accomplished fixing the plugged toilet, but he left such a mess, I cannot in good conscience give them a better rating. After he was here, I am afraid to have them out again. He literally left "dirt" flung on the walls and floors. He didn't want to put caulk around the floor after revealing the toilet. In fact it would have been better and nicer looking if he hadn't because he got dirt in with the caulk around the toilet so it is disgusting looking. I feel strongly about this because the toilet was new and in place for just a couple of months. After he cleaned drain out there was a small amount of roots on the floor and I asked him if that's all they got out and the only thing he said was you need to go flush the toilet three times. I have had repeat issues with a line in my house for the 5 years I've owned it. Every time they have come promptly and taken care of it. If they say you have mud in the sewer That just may be a pitch to get the sewer camera out there at $190 a pop. Ask them to show you any mud they find in the lines. There is always going to be some black sludge flowing down the sewer of course and in any case they do have a six-month guarantee which they may or may not tell you about. read more
