I never thought I would have so much fun. It was like my childhood all in one tour this exceeded my expectations. There's so much you see and learn on the 45 minute tram tour and even more in the walking portion I would definitely come back here and see what they've added to the collection. I would recommend for anyone important in the 1900s.

Went yesterday and really enjoyed it- spent 2 hours there, including the tram tour. Easily worth the $18 ticket. It's a mix of history, pop culture, kitsch and oddities- truly something for everyone. You could go multiple times and still never see all of the things on display.

We visited the American Treasure Tour Museum a week or so ago, and we had such a good time. But how to describe it?! The American Treasure Tour Museum is 100,000 square feet of Americana pop culture. An anonymous benefactor collected the countless items in the collection (millions?!) and created the museum so that the public could experience it. The collection has carousel band organs, movie posters, classic cars, neon signs, vintage toys, and a thousand other things. It's so hard to describe, but it's full of kitsch and history and charm. The museum has some areas you can wander through, but the main way to experience the collection is through a narrated tram tour (the trams leave once an hour on the half hour). It's really unique and fun, and I think almost anyone would enjoy visiting the museum. I recommend it if you're in the area!

My partner and I drove up from the DC area to come here today. We both are so happy we did. First, we walked through the music room, which is filled with old-time musical instruments, player pianos, albums, phones, models, etc, etc. So much fun to walk around and see all the stuff and history in here. Then, there's a tram ride through a warehouse filled with all kinds of things - old advertisements, cars, a statue of the Pep Boys, the Chuck-e-cheese band, posters, sections focused on Christmas displays, circus history, a lot of working animatronics . . . it's almost overwhelming the variety of things you see on the tour. But it's all presented well, with a recorded explanation of some of the items and a helpful tram driver/tour guide. We loved it. Spent about 90 minutes here in total - loved it. Spoke to some people who were leaving around the same time we were and the groups, some retired folks, some parents with small kids, and a working couple, all agreed it was well worth the trip and admission price.

A visit to this museum is the most fun I have had locally in a long time. Please look at all the photos people posted online. This place is amazing. I was amazed at all of the musical boxes that were made with other instruments besides pianos. There are a lot of cool things here!

MUST GO! Quick 1 to 2 hour activity if you want 45 mins at a minimum! QUICK 30 min golf cart like ride inside a 1mill sq ft warehouse. Incredible collections of nostalgia and vintage history... a bit of something for all ages to look at from restuarant signs, mcds memorabilia, Ford cars, stuffed animals, Christmas holiday decor, children masks, canvas paintings, Chuck e cheese old mechanical singing machines, etc. There is just so much to see. Very cool and interesting museum. It's quick and worth the $18. There are some parts that are walkable to check out which is great.

American Treasure is simple, affordable and fun. Its packed to the brim with pop culture history and iconic memorabilia. There is a tram car tour with audio that takes you through the majority of the museum in about 45 minutes. Afterwards there is a smaller walking section with plenty of great photo ops. The gift shop is also packed with memorabilia and antiques. Overall, its well worth the price of admission.

I was surprised this hidden treasure in right here in Pa, I was so glad I visited the tram tour is amazing ,the collection and history of this museum is phenomenal, this isn't your Grandmas attic , there is a little of everything for all to enjoy,it is definitely worth the price of ticket and trip

Without a doubt, the most amazing private collection of american pop-culture and memorabilia I've ever seen. A tram takes you through a now defunct tire factory on the 2nd floor of a building as you gaze upon animatronics, neon signs, halloween masks, Wurlitzer organs and just about anything and everything you can imagine! Affordable admission, friendly staff and plenty of parking. Book online before going to make sure you reserve a tram seat and double check operating hours!! Fun for the entire family!!!

Lots of fun things to look at! So many niche old animatronics and electronics! Hidden treasure! Would recommend!

Where the hell is that 6th Star when you need it. American Treasure Tour is fantastic. There's no other way to describe it. I'm sure by now you're read the reviews and seen the videos. What I can tell you is that none of it does this place any justice. The array of things to look at is mind blowing and honestly, if it wasn't the better part of two hours away, I would make it a point to visit regularly. Just go and enjoy. Truly an amazing experience. Thank you.

American Treasure Tour is... a lot. While the sheer volume and variety of items is undeniably impressive--and yes, there's some cool, rare, even nostalgic stuff in the mix--it honestly felt more like wandering through a hoarder's oversized storage unit than visiting a curated museum. It triggered every fear I have about dust mites, bed bugs, and all the creepy crawlies that thrive in dark corners and vintage upholstery. But if you're someone on the hunt for long-lost pieces of the past--or just love a maximalist, over-the-top stroll through Americana--you'll probably find it to be a fascinating (if chaotic) experience.

I've been wanting to go to this place forever. I finally made it and boy was it worth it! There was so much to look at! You could spend all day here and always see something different. I love pop culture and nostalgia and this place was a huge dose of it. The price was reasonable as well. In addition to the tram, they did have a portion of a walking tour, as well as a gift shop which was an adventure in and of itself. The only downside for me was I wish they offered a walking tour of the whole place.... I feel like that would take hours but I would love a closer look at more of those items. Regardless, I would HIGHLY recommend and would definitely come back!

What I mean is, I'm not a bird watcher and don't know much about bird habits or the sounds they make or their migration. But I can say that I learned a lot from the displays here today and enjoyed walking through the entire thing. It gave me a better appreciation for birds in nature, how they fly, the threats to their survival, etc. And the place isn't preachy. Just a very informative, pleasant learning experience. There's good information here that's well and efficiently presented; it's just enough - it's not stuffy or oppressive. The staff is helpful. We were fortunate that a house tour was beginning during our visit, and we joined that tour (included in the admission price). The tour is given by a volunteer docent. It was very informative, and we learned a great deal about Audubon (the good, bad and the ugly) and his life, marriage, his work and his valuable contributions to the field of bird studies. I'm giving this 5 stars for what we saw, and I'm assuming (confidently) that a walk/hike through the grounds on a nice day would be great.

Just interested in the art. At the Audobon center, I read everything. So interesting to learn about migration, how birds fly, their physiology ... and John James Audobon himself. What a colorful character. The mission of the center is to educate people to cherish and protect the natural world by preserving Audobon's artistic and scientific legacy. I had no particular interest in birds, but I was fascinated. The center is located on a bird sanctuary -- and the grounds are beautiful. There are trails which visitors are free to explore. BTW, if you're looking for a venue for a special event, check this place out. Staff was setting up for a wedding while we were there, and I was impressed.

By the time he was adding a workshop to the compound in 1955, building codes had made their way into law and Esherick got help from none other than Louis Kahn to help design that building. So what will you see if you visit? Just an incredible home and studio. Esherick was not into straight lines or right angles or wasting perfectly good wood, so the house and studio is an amazing sight: that staircase! the wood floor in the dining room! the concrete extension painted in colors that blend into the natural surroundings! the art and furniture pieces of Esherick's shown throughout the house! It's a hard place to describe, but our tour guide did a marvelous job of teaching us about Esherick and the buildings during our tour, while sharing some woodworking facts and passion, too! Reservations for the tours are required, and they do sell out. Regularly. There's an exhibit on Esherick at the Brandywine right now, and that might be generating more interest than usual in seeing his home and studio - or maybe tours of this amazing place are always this popular?! We did the Experiencing Esherick Tour, which takes you into the home and studio building and lasts about an hour. They offer some specialized tours of more limited days as well - I will definitely be visiting again for the architecture tour which takes you into at least one additional building you don't see on the general tour! The house? Fascinating. Our tour guide? Lovely. The grounds? Beautiful even in December. And a lovely little gift shop in Esherick's old garage where you can do some holiday shopping? Bonus. What's not to love about the Wharton Esherick Museum? I know I'll be returning to bring friends and family to this wonderful place in the future.
