Not sure what's going on here but the first impression was pathetic. 3 stars is being merciful. Store was huge but lots of emptiness. Clothing looked like a bunch of plain, repetitive new stuff that was perhaps discarded by other stores. The store felt depressing and didn't compel me to browse, let alone shop. They did have a ton of furniture, so that could be of value to some. Maybe this store is going through a transition. It wasn't the thrifting experience I was looking for and I'm not sure if this is their norm. read more

My favorite thrift store hands down! The deals are like no other and there is such a huge selection of clothing. Tuesdays and Thursdays are 50% off with the exception of two color tags, depending on the day (9AM-12PM are the 50% off sale hours) They are usually good at sorting the clothes and it's well organized for the most part. I needed a last minute business outfit that I did not pack and I found everything I needed for 7 dollars. I will say, they do staple their tags onto the clothing which isn't great. Sometimes little holes are left on the clothing. Overall, love this place. You can find some great deals. Just need some patience and time to look through everything! Our family and I have been shopping here for over 15 years. It was always an affordable place to find cute clothes, and the ladies working at the registers were always helpful and kind. Today I was shocked to find the store bereft of both shoppers and merchandise. Unfortunately, as of sometime this last year, the place appears to be under new management. The selection of clothes is frustratingly small, maybe around a third of what it used to be. Prices have jumped up from $3 for a hoodie to over $17. The purses, backpacks, glassware, electronics, toys, paintings, and shoes they used to sell are GONE, replaced by overpriced cheaply-made furniture and bagged-up clothes hangers. I am thoroughly disappointed by the new direction this store has taken, and I am saddened that I can no longer enjoy "thrifting days" with my family here. read more

This thrift shop is huge! Lots of clothes and housewares to look at. The prices are fantastic and the staff is friendly. Would be a 5 star, but they staple the price tags into the clothes instead of the brand tag. Hopefully they'll change this soon! read more

For years the best thrift store in town BUT when I visited a couple of weeks ago it was 90% empty, mostly new cheap furniture but almost all clothing and racks were gone & they were selling the clothes hangers for $3.99/bag. I asked if they were going out of business but was told they were just changing and would be open for a couple more months. Then I read that they were going to be an outlet store for Costco. Plan to go back today to see if anything has changed. read more

I've been here three times already. I come to find Disney stuff for cheap. I've found a few cute clothes for my son. And I found some rare Disney toys too. When I compared the toy's prices to normal retail, I found that what I got is a great deal. I only wish I could find more costumes for me and my son. I love to dress up and cosplay but I don't ever see costumes. I like that there's a special sale on Tuesdays and Thursdays but I wish it would last longer because it's only until 12pm. read more

Absolutely love this thrift store! The best thrift store in the AV. It's very large, a lot to choose from, and they are always have deals! Not sure on what days but they do have a student discount option so definitely take advantage of that! They don't have dressing rooms, however, they do have a line of mirrors that if you can fit the clothes over what your wearing they do not mind you trying on. read more

I have been going to this thrift store since the early 2000's and used to spend about$300. a month and get tons of clothing.Being a single mom the low prices really helped.Used to be 79 cents 99 cents etc.now the same items are $1.50-$10.00 with my senior discount.I can't complain since everything has gone up but can't they attach the price tags to the brand tag instead of ruining the clothes with staples?! I frequently visit this store in Lancaster , today I was humiliated when I paid for my goods, and was leaving the store when an old bum looking type wearing old camouflage clothes said did you pay for that? First thought was who are you ? ,but the cashier said I had paid , and the guy said , people steal ! I do not have to steal ! I was well dressed, and clean cut, and they accused me? This store is over priced and have the worst managers ever! They don't know how to run a store! Their air conditioner is never on! So it feels like you are in a sweat shop! They will put broken items on the floor, knowing the they are broke, and people buy them don't notice til they get home and they tell the customer "oh sorry you bought it like that no returns!" I was a regular customer, until they let another customer bully me out of my item in my cart. I actually screamed at the incompetent employees, called Burbank office only to get an idiot whose English was so broken up,I couldn't understand what he was saying, Ronzon,or something different. With all the thrift stores in the valley, and that one being the dirtiest, it won't be missed. As a business owner myself, and this being a small town, word will travel quick. I find myself thrift shopping lately after receiving a tip on saving money buying my kid's name brand clothes at a bargain. I visited many thrifts stores in the Antelope Valley and I must say this store is in my top five. The inside of the store is huge. It use to be a supermarket in the past and their prices are much lower than Salvation Army & The Goodwill stores. They're very organized and have a variety of items such as exercise equipment to home decor to furniture etc... The one issue I have with this store is the inability to use a shopping cart to transport the many bags I have to the car. The second issue I have is the inability to receive a refund for an item purchased there. Other than that, I would highly recommend this thrift store to shop at. read more

I love this thrift store! I've been going since I was a child. They would get 5 stars if it wasn't for their placement of the tags. They always staple the tags onto the actual clothes rather than on brand tags so the majority of the time there are little holes on the clothing items. It's so annoying removing the tags and seeing holes it would be better if they put them on the brand tags or if they used the plastic price tag fasteners. read more

I am not sure of the donated items in the store, but the new furniture section of the store is awesome! There is a large selection of brand new furniture. The gentleman who runs this section is awesome! He was extremely busy when we went and was still able to be friendly and caring. This offers a great deal on brand new furniture! We were able to get three living room glass tables for $143.00. Great deal! I will be back when I need to purchase more furniture. read more

We were ultra excited to visit this thrift store after reading the previous review. Unfortunately we were not as lucky. Not sure if it had to do with our visit being around Halloween when most thrifts get thoroughly ransacked, but we found absolutely nothing but used up old stuff. No quality used modern things, no vintage, no cute bric-a-bracs, nothing. The shelves and racks were mostly empty, punctuated with random unappealing, mostly broken, things. They are very spaced out since the place is so huge. This makes for a lot of unnecessary walking for very little rewards. No hatred for this place all in all, but we are not planning to visit again anytime soon. read more

I shop every thrift store in the area and consistently find good clothing and furniture at this store. There are discounts to be had every day. All used items are 30% off the marked price on weekends. Anyone over 50 qualifies for 50% off on Wednesday. Early bird and student specials are available, too. There are some quirky store policies which can be annoying, but it's something you can get used to as a trade off for the great bargains you can find! read more

Prices are too high for being a second hand store! Selling used vacuums and lamps for retail prices ugh thank you might as well pay less at a retail store and have a longer use of something brand new instead of used. This place has been my secret, apparently, until now.... I had hesitated to write a review for it for a long time, because I didn't want more competition in my thrifting expeditions, but now I'm moving back to civilization (read: L.A) so I can let the cat out of the bag!!! First of all, it's way in the back of the parking lot, a big building that says THRIFT STORE. (There is another (little, lame) thrift store in the front of the same lot. I think it's called Twice is Nice, Twice is too many in my opinion for that place) American Way is a big, dirty-ish and occasionally smelly place...not for the faint of heart! But if you are a digger and are persistent in your pursuit of buried treasure you will find it here! Over the last two years I have found: ~ An immaculately clean & gorgeous Hermes skirt from Paris. ~ Bakelite bangles ~ several adorable vintage 50's & 60's dresses ~ a sumptuous black cashmere coat from the 50's ~ many nice items from designers such as Ralph Lauren, Coach, Versace, Michael Kors, etc. ~ a pair of killer Versace shoes ~ an Anna Sui suit ~ and many other great items, both vintage and newer. These treasures are hidden among miles and miles of total crap! You really have to dig! Also, some tips: Tuesday and Thursday mornings are 50% off most items. They also put a lot of new stuff out on these days. Wednesday is Senior Day...avoid like the plague unless you are, in fact, a senior...it gets crazy in there. Those senior ladies will stab a b*&%ch. It gets hot as heck in there during the warmer months...go early! Don't park along the curbs in any unmarked spots or you'll get a nice fat parking ticket. read more

I just tried to hand these people my money and they won't let be buy the item because their "pricers" aren't in today. And that I could put my name on it and come back in two days. Literally ridiculous. Like I wanted to buy it and they literally won't let me because it doesn't have a price. How can you have merchandise on the floor for sale without a price tag and then when I go to purchase it I can't buy it because you didn't price it. Does not make any sense at all. Lots of room, often crowded. Their "specials" and prices change on Mondays (they color code and go half off like goodwill does). They often have great purses, decent furniture. LOTS of good quality name bran clothes. Generally clean and organized. No dressing room Some of the cashiers are not very polite. read more
