A quick Google map search revealed that this market was very close. It was easy to walk to and find. They have a good food selection here and the pricing appears to be reasonable, especially compared to other places. I was able to get a large bottle of pferrier and some kefif for less than 3 euros. I imagine I would have shopped here for snakes and a bit of groceries if I was staying in or visiting this this area for a bit longer.

I came through on my way back from the Colloseum. I guess I got tired of people watching and didn't want to join in on the aerobics at sundown thing that was going on. So, I've arrived and let get to buying a good amount of Italian Beer to drink and to bring back home to the States. Everything was nice a neat, didn't take me long to find what I needed. Ok, so it's crowded since yes,, the Trevi Fountain crowd and the Colloseum crowd pretty much gathers here. Which is ok, there's games on my phone to keep me busy while I'm in line. Plus "Americans" with anxiety issues usually peel away, so I'm quite alright since I've got nothing but time. The cashiers were pretty good,, they rang me up. The store itself and its selection seem to be on par with other Co-op's we have frequented in Italy, so that part of the equation is fine. The store staff on the other hand that we have encountered is surly, to borderline rude. We were there yesterday and not being locals there are a few idiosyncratic things done here with fruits and vegetables that we were unaware of. There was really no one else in the store and rather than correct us respectfully the Gentleman sitting behind the counter whistled at us, pointed to the plastic bags that were across from the paper (you weigh and package and price your own vegetables and take them marked to the till) put his head down into one hand and shook his head. Had we other choices I would have taken our basket of goods over to him, put them in front of him and left the store. Of course being the polite Canadians we are we finished our shopping and went to the till. The other female checker was helping someone, so we assumed the Gentleman would help us. He saw us coming, got up, turned around and started using the computer. I would suggest he needs to find a job he enjoys and perhaps look into some customer service training. All that said they have a good selection across the board and will likely have what you need. Pity you have to deal with staff such as him.

Yesterday, Luigi helped me select two of the most delicious types of cheese I've ever tasted in my entire life. Our Airbnb came equipped with a Panini maker, and this morning we decided to use some of our cheese and have a delicious Panini for breakfast.We plan to shop there every day while we are here in Rome. They had all the basics we needed to supply our AirBnB, all the way down to laundry detergent. Good selection of beer/wine and has a decent assortment of bread/meat/cheeses. We came here daily on our trip to Rome to pick up supplies for breakfast and a pre-dinner snack. They also take credit cards, which is always nice for the international traveller.

So it's safe to say I only really come here for some specific long-life goods, water, or the occasional milk run. The prices aren't terribly competitive but it's probably one of the best priced regular supermarkets in the neighbourhood. The queues are long if you go at peak times, but mid-morning or mid- afternoon you can probably get through one of the three tills in a couple of minutes. I've never seen all three tills manned - they usually have just one or two active. There's a deli counter with cured meats and cheeses, but not a real butchers department. The fresh veg is not the greatest in terms of price or quality. Overall it serves its purpose and is usefully open until 9pm every night, which makes it a useful emergency stop.
