I wanted to take a morning power walk along the staten waterfront. This development of apartments is called Urby. It's a really cool spot that I've frequented with their variety of restaurants. This particular day I wanted to take a power walk and enjoy a protein packed breakfast. So I headed down to the Americano cafe. It was my first time visiting This restaurant and I couldn't understand why?? lol. This place has such a cool laid back vibe. Reminded me of a cafe in Puerto Rico in isla verde. There are comfy chairs to sit and perhaps do some flex work. It has an outdoor and indoor area. And the food was really good. I had the bacon and eggs with avocado and small salad on the side. I also had the macha lata lata. So good. I will for sure be back to chill and grab a wrap! You should too!! read more

Decided to try this cafe spot on a random weekday. This shop has a parking lot. It was a bit hard to find the store because it was kinda tucked in. I tried their spinach and chocolate danishes. It was good for an afternoon snack, This spot is very spacious and has good natural sunlight so it is perfect for working and studying! The staff is super friendly! read more

I had been trying for ever to visit this cafe, it's just far from where I live so never made it. Today on a rainy day I just woke up & was craving for French toast, and tired of same old places. Needed to visit someplace new, and decided to go there. Took me more than an hour but I am glad . This place looks amazing, one of the beautiful cafe I have visited in NY so far, definitely the best looking one on the island! I have much appreciation for the green inside & the use of wood ! Very inviting, I can just seat here all day doing nothing! And I am very picky with places when it comes to cafe where I feel comfortable to stay longer. I think I have find myself 'The one' ! I ordered their French toast, and medium house coffee. Because the server said that's the strongest coffee they have. Including tip the Total came to $22.09, yes it's kinda expensive! Was the French toast worth the price, not really ! Coffee was great tho. Customer service was good , could be better. Especially when it's not busy at all. Such a cute place inside the urby but also open to the public. Definitely a gem to have if you live in the building since you can use it after hours as a general lounge. I like that there are food/meal options in addition to pastries. Very well lit and nice seating areas. There are a few tables with outlets so you can get work done and there is private wifi but I just used the Public urby one. Music choice was also nice and not too loud. Spacious and ample seating and I love how many windows there are. Only downside is it can get a bit chilly read more

The esthetics and music were nice. The food, service and quality were disappointing. I ordered the chicken burger or sandwich and it was bland. I also got the vanilla croissant, it was awful. Bad quality for sure. The staff were not really welcoming. The older woman was on her phone and I had to check on my food twice cause I was starving. Took about 20 mins. It's good to sit and maybe drink water ? I didn't try anything else. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to sit. read more

Yessss, if you're by the Urby, in downtown Staten Island, definitely come stop by the Americano Cafe. I frequent here a lot (a lot a lot) their coffee always fresh and staff always friendly. The food so delicious I've had many things here but their avocado toast is always a go to just add an egg. They bake most of their pastries in house. If it's busy expect a bit of a wait for your food but the service makes up for it. Love this cafe because there's plenty of room to work from home and the esthetics give cozy. Located in Urby, Staten Island, this cafe is one of the few pup friendly eateries on the island that I frequent. The service is always great, but the food quality can vary depending on the chef. On this particular visit, my girlfriend ordered a classic Caesar salad with chicken. She usually raves about it, but she was disappointed this time because the chicken was dry. My Philly cheesesteak would have been perfect if it wasn't too salty. However, the fries were a saving grace--crispy and had the perfect amount of salt. The cafe itself has a well designed ambiance that evokes a ski lodge vibe. Despite being a regular, I had a disappointing experience this time. read more

I was having a tired start to the week so I decided to come here for breakfast. Sundays are probably the easiest to find parking so I'm glad I did--there's a small amount of parking all around the building, and no parking fees on Sunday! There's a lot of seating around, from large to small tables and couches. The women working behind the counter are calm but friendly. I ordered an avocado toast and a small americano to stay. The drinks only come in to go cups I guess, but the toast came out on a plate with utensils. Thought a bit difficult to eat the toast with a butter knife, it was worth it. I enjoyed every bite. Rich, a little salty and a little citrusy, the fat of the avocado is nicely complimented with the freshness of the tomato, radish and micro greens on top. read more

When looking for places to study on the island, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Americano Cafe! There is ample self-parking nearby in a lot. I loved the vibe and ambiance of the inside. There are a number of tables and seats that you can enjoy your meal or do work at. There is a high ceiling and plants scattered around the cafe with ample natural light. The menu is quite extensive for a cafe and you can order at the counter, after which they will either call your name or bring your meal out to you. I ordered the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg, and they definitely do not skimp out on the avocado. I especially liked that the bread is toasted with butter, which makes it even better. This place is located in a small round about location ... it's very upscale and beautiful there. Unfortunately the parking is lack luster in a sense. Your going to pay to park your car. They do have SOME parking but it's not a lot of parking if you don't want to pay. Now as far as ambience this place definitely has it!! If you want a place where you and your boo thing can walk and talk and look into each others eyes lol THIS IS IT!! It's a beautiful place. Now the coffee is ok but I think they may need to add some more items to the menu so you feel like your getting the FULL experience.... Maybe think about changing the cups so that you feel it's worth it to pay for parking. Don't get me wrong the coffee was ok BUT it was just a little too basic so we just ordered a caramel macchiato and what which one did you guys want to do you remember what drink did you? What are you remember you got it, cinnamon chai latte and they were just ok. I feel for having to pay for parking and the price fit the building... there should be something more for the customers otherwise it was just ok. I need more excitement.
